40k Imperial Strongpoint Discontinued

Like most people, the best place to get the extra autocannons needed for your autocannon dreads is the aegis defense lines. Well any discontinueing of this makes these types of dreads hard to come by, and if the rumors of being able to drop terrain onto the battlefield is true, it will make these conversions harder to make as well.

So is it being discontinued? I don't know, but I did find the Imperial Strongpoint on the US Games Workshop site. Perhaps it is going to be direct from GW only. Also to note, it was still listed at $90.

Ordered a 40K Strongpoint (two Bastions and three Aegis Defense Lines) from Warstore and was told it was discontinued.

Was able to order it from directly from GW yesterday though, and it is still on the site today which is the last day of the old prices.

The Strongpoint is not listed in the new price listings, supporting the Warstore saying it is discontinued.

A look at the pricing may tell the story

Current price $90 gets two bastions @ $30 each plus three Aegis kits at $24.75 each for a savings of $44.25

New price for the Bastion is $41.25 and the Aegis kits will be $29.75 each making the new total for the kits in the Strongpoint box $171.75.

If you have any interest in these kits, RIGHT NOW would be the time to order the Strongpoint...

Also noted that the Aegis Defencse Lines kits include a quad flak gun that could be easily adapted to a Chimera to make a Hydra.
