Empire is Up for Advanced Orders (loads of pics)

Here are the pics and some information on the latest Games Workshop release. I grabbed as many pics as I could but have been having connectivity problems this morning. I will get a chance to work on that later this afternoon, but I am still fixing storm damage to my house. (at least the shattered window has been replaced.)

The Storm Eagle is Official

The Storm Eagle is here, fresh off the Forgeworld newsletter. Here it is.

I am betting that this was not supposed to be seen until next week, as Forgeworld still has no other pictures of it on their site. I was really looking forward to seeing some of the details and other angles.

Space Marine Storm Eagle Assault Gunship
The legendary mobility of the Adeptus Astartes has won planet-spanning conflicts with a single strike; providing the precise application of deadly force at the point where it proved most decisive. Designed by Stuart Williamson, the Storm Eagle is a complete resin and plastic kit which is packed with some incredible design work, including a fully detailed interior. It will be available to purchase in limited numbers at the Forge World Open Day on Sunday 1st April, in advance of its scheduled release date, for £80.

Will You Buy It?

By now most people have heard that THQ has changed the course of Dark Millennium from a MMO to single and multiplayer gameplay. The question arises, "Will you buy it?"

Personally I find it disappointing, and think THQ just saved me a ton of time and a little bit of money by switching it, as I am not the first person shooter type. I find it sad to lose a game that would draw even more into the game. As for this new game?, I will try and keep it in a positive light, and see if they can keep it together and get this game released.

Tartaros Pattern Terminator Squad

These are some cool looking terminators. Forgeworld often has me wishing I had a standard space marine army. Perhaps my own chapter will be in the works in a few years.

Monstrous Arcanum has Arrived

A new space marine flyer from Forgeworld is about to be announced, the Space Marine Stormeagle - £80. Here is the pic, and the link over at Forgeworld, which is apparently not completely ready. Chapter Specific Decals with Pics

The latest White Dwarf is not all Empire and Paint... We get some Space Marine chapter specific decals. While this was yesterdays news, I am just playing catch up this afternoon. These are pretty cool.

Chaos Legion Rumors

A few things in this rumor set caught my attention, a Land Raider Daemonicus, another mention of Dread Claws, and some talk about two different types of terminators, probably being Cult and standard Chaos Terminators. I also like that the rumors seem to be focusing on the 9 traitor legions, as this is something I am deeply interested myself.

As we get closer and closer to the next codex, or even the release of 6th edition, I am hoping we are going to start hearing a few more specifics. While Empire is the next big release, I am looking forward to getting past it, so we can see some more focus on warhammer 40k.

Paint Conversion Chart

We all know that Citadel is coming out with their new paint lines, and 145 new paints is pretty exciting. However, I am sure all of us have an army in the works. Well, lucky for us, we have a new paint conversion chart, and here it is. Enjoy.

New Release Empire Pics

The White Dwarf images are now just about everywhere. All I can say, is that Games Workshop really is doing an excellent job on their new model lines. I look forward to seeing every model line, and there is not an army that comes out, that there is not a model that I would not mind owning.

Empire is Now

Empire is official now, and the release date is April 7th alongside its first wave of models. This is the updated set of curent rumors and has listed what we know as fact.

Releases for 2013: Tau and Eldar

It looks like Harry has been chiming in a lot lately about 40k, which is a game he doesn't know much about (according to him). Today Harry has mentioned a couple codex releases that he expects to see for 2013. To be fair he was discussing his latest on the Autumn of flyers, however he mentioned this little bit.

Where this leaves the latest little bits about Chaos Daemons being early next year is still a mystery. However I put a lot of faith in Harry's rumors.

Chaos Locust and Other Flyer Rumors

A new fast single seat Chaos flyer used in the Sabbat crusade is said to likely be the new flyer for Chaos Legions. Below is a continuation of the current Autumn of Flyers rumor from Harry. Although a few other sources are chiming in, noticably stickmonkey is keeping quiet. (he was the biggest source of the summer of flyers that didnt happen).

Personally I had figured the Hellblade would make it, (that is in the picture above), but what do I know?

Presence of Faeit: Flyers, Chaos, Terrain

This week has been a slow one on my end. I was able to start working on hills for my terrain table, and do some testing on how my play mat will handle paint. I was also able to get a game in this week, but had to go back to my Grey Knights, as I did not have the models ready for my Dark Eldar.

Empire is Next in the New White Dwarf

Some things I get a little slower, especially when my email account (hotmail) locks up and doesnt allow me into my inbox. Well, now that I can get in there, it looks like I missed a rumor this week. From the Beasts of War we have it that the next White Dwarf has a couple Empire models on it. Here is the rumor.

Autumn of Flyers; Storm Hawk

Your kidding right? Remember the Summer of Flyers? We have a very credible rumor source on this one. We are talking about a storm hawk release and a supplement.

If we end up with flyers in 6th edition, then something like this could very much make sense. After all, Games Workshop would need to release flyers for several of the codices, or at least have the rules for them. We have also heard that space marines have some mystery flyer coming, and this could be it.

I found the above image for a storm bird was back in the early days. I would imagine the transport capacity of the Storm Hawk would not be so high.

Saturday Morning Rumors: Chaos Legions

Nothing like starting off a Saturday with some Chaos rumors. A few of these are a little vague, but give us some possibilities like passing infiltration to your dedicated transport, Possessed losing their randomness and becoming viable again, and Lash getting downgraded to being in line with the Daemons Codex.

Free Shipping Fees Increased at Games Workshop

Just a heads up for those of you that are planning on ordering direct from Games Workshop, they have increased the fees. I know the price of fuel has increased here stateside drastically, but it will artificially drop again soon, we have an election ahead of us. However, the price in order to get the free shipping is now at $50 here in the US and $75 in Canada. Here is the announcement.

Are Dark Angels the New GW Poster Child?

Take a look at the old paint set boxes below, and the new ones that are coming out for us this weekend. Dark Angels are on the cover. While this doesnt necessarily mean anything, it is another push towards a confirmation that Dark Angels are in the new starter set for 6th, and gives credence to a new codex sometime this year. Coincidence that its Dark Angels, instead of GW's poster children "Ultramarines"?

The End of Ard Boyz?

Ard Boyz venue being dropped by GW? Please tell me it isnt so. It looks like a local FLGS was told by their GW rep that Ard Boyz is no more. North American players will be upset by this, especially in my area. Its something we looked forward to in my neck of the woods.

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: New Addition

Once again there are weekly additions to the blog exchange. Drifting through other blogs are something I do when I have the time, and spend much of that reading through the blogs on the exchange. There are a couple articles that I have forgotten to mark in the past, I have been trying to locate them without success. Mostly on terrain making.

So what is the Blog Exchange? It is basically an exchange of blogs on each others blog rolls. Its that simple. 6th Edition Background Rumors/ Horus Heresy Supplement

I was up late with a 40k game last night, which we spent some time working my game table before hand. So I was not able to get much sleep nor get a post  ready for the morning. I was suprised when I recieved another rumor discussing the background that will be moving forward with 6th edition.

I am still waking up and grabbing my coffee. So lets get straight to the rumors. Above is a picture of the game last night.

Faeit 212 Turns 2

Today is the sites 2nd birthday. Even though it is a milestone, the first 6 months or so, I was almost the only visitor to the site ( I had to drag a few friends by the hair to look at the monitor). So technically the site did not find its niche until September of 2010, when thanks to Sons of Taurus, a few people started visiting the site. I credit him and his review of the site, for me continuing to write and work on the blog.

Now the site is going relatively strong, and I still enjoy waking up a little early almost daily to do some digging for the days post. How there is enough to keep a site like this going daily is still a mystery to me, but somehow, there is always something to take a look at.

Warhammer Fantasy..... After Empire

We all know that Empire is right on the horizon, probably being released next month. So the question is what army books are after Empire. These rumors are by various people that are not the main line rumor mongers, so a little extra salt may be applied, but its nice to hear from other sources that just might know something.

Chaos Legions Done/ Chaos Daemons for 2013

According to the latest set for Chaos Legions, the codex itself is done, and should be leaving the printers shortly. The rumors have some other wild and fun bits, like poisoned flamers for Nurgle and a timeline for Chaos Daemons. Chaos really looks like it is going to be huge in 6th edition, and I for one look forward to it. 

Citadel New Paint Colors..... Are they the same colors?

Today is apparently all about the new upcoming Citadel Paint line. Which is said to be a very high quality paint. The big question comes to us....... Are they the same colors?

Like most people I have been painting my army for years........  Perhaps I shouldn't admit to that level of procrastination, but I think most people are in this boat. From what the rumors say, we should not have to stock up on enough paint to get our armies done, but you never know. This rumor talks about the colors and hopefully answers some questions.

New Citadel Paints Release Date

It looks like we have a date for the when the new paints are going to be released. It is a huge release of paints, and if you have missed it, I am posting a link at the bottom to some of the relevant information regarding colors. This set of rumors are of course, another set of Faeit 212 exclusives regarding the timeline of the paint releases. We are getting them soon.

Possibly No Second Necron Wave in Near Future

I know we are all waiting patiently for the second wave of Necrons to hit, at least most of us are. It seems like every other day we are hearing the Necron second wave is coming, then delayed, then coming again. I personally think it would be bad to drag out the next wave too long. This is a rumor, so please take an adequate amount of salt, and hope that we will see the second wave sooner rather than later.

I think we may not see a wave in may at all. I heard that maybe there would be only paints in april, followed by The Empire in May, followed by something in June. Just a little heads up.

I was reading through this, and really do not make much of it, but figured I would post it up for everyone. It appears to be restocking of unavailable models. So there might be something to read into it, but I will let you decide.

Relic, A 40k Board Game Announced

Fantasy Flight Games does it again with Relic, which looks like a warhammer 40k boardgame. Something like this just might make my monthy game night.

The game is basically a 40k version of Talisman of sorts. Exactly what it is, we are not completely sure yet, but you know I will be on the watch for anything from Fantasy Flight Games.

Games Day 2012 Information: The Good and The Bad

Some early news on this years Games Days. To be honest, my opinion is pretty much none on this, because these are events I do not get the luxury of attending. So I will be very interested in other peoples opinions on the subject.

Full List of the New Citadel Paints and More.

Here it is, the new paints are on their way. It looks like the leaked pics we had from ebay some time ago were real, at least according to this rumor. Its still a rumor until we get the official announcement, but I feel that this one is pretty solid.

Personally, I like it. Expanding our color base to 144 paints, supposedly of higher quality for what appears to be the same price. I also like the idea of the new paint book and the mega set being available all year round. I know that will look like a price increase, but I think its going to include more, so the price should be higher. I also like the new names.

Updated Empire Rumors

This morning we have an updated version of the Empire rumors. This set has been trimmed down some, with a what Harry felt were more corroborated rumors. Empire is our next army book according to the rumor mill, and I would think we should start hearing more in the next couple weeks.

Necron Second Wave Rumor

So, the general line of thought is that April will be a big Empire army book release, and that May just might be our second wave of Necrons that many of us have been waiting for. This rumor goes against that grain, saying that the necrons will come next out next month.

The Chaos Decimator is Here.

The new Chaos Decimator is the latest release from Forgeworld, and it is nothing short of stunning. It comes with the new Decimator Butcher Cannon amongst others, and is the counter to the Contemptor Dreadnought. This unholy beast comes with possession, and the ability to ignore weapon destroyed and immobilization results on a 5+. And get this, if it is wrecked, there is still a chance for this beast to return to the battlefield upright, and resume its fight on the dice roll of a 6+.

Guess I will have to order one or even of these. Stuff like this needs to make the codex.

Dark Eldar Return

I have been packed up for far too long. We have been on hold from purchasing a new house and moving now for a long time. (short sales take forever). My Dark Eldar were packed up, assuming a move was going to happen in short time, and since this is taking awhile I have decided to break them back out.

So tonight I am hosting a game, and bringing the Dark Eldar out of hiding. This is what I am bringing.

Event Classified Dates on GW Calendars

This morning I thought we would look at the schedule for the Bowie Battle Bunker in Maryland. There are quite a few open dates sitting around to correlate rumors to. March 24th, May 12th, and more dates in September, October, and November. So take a look and let us know what you think.

Chaos Daemon Whispers

Don't listen or stare off into the warp, there are things in there we were not meant to see or hear.

A small rumor regarding Chaos Daemons that says that new furies may be in the works. I really hope we are going to see a new Chaos Daemon codex sometime early next year. They are an army that just feels incomplete (in my eyes).

These are rumors, please take with the standard salt requirement.

Hearing bits that aside from Plague Bearers, there may be new furies in the works. As well as seeing karanak and hounds of khorne moved to finecast soon.

Honour The Chapter Announced

Honour The Chapter is a Guidebook to the Successor Chapters for Deathwatch from Fantasy Flight Games. Along with The Soul Reaver, that makes this the second release related to Warhammer 40k announced yesterday. Honour The Chapter is also going to be released late in the second quarter this year.

The Soul Reaver Announced

The Soul Reaver has been announced. It is an adventure supplement from Fantasy Flight Games for Rogue Trader that deals with the Dark Eldar, and even lets you play a Dark Eldar Kabalite Warrior. It takes a deep look into the Dark Eldar of the Koronus Expanse, definetly something just to pick up if you are a Dark Eldar nut.

It is set to be released late in the second quarter.

40k Events at Warhammer World: 6th Edition Possible Launch

Warhammer World has put up their calendar which holds the dates that we are expecting the big 6th edition release to take place. They have two things scheduled that weekend, which could very well fit into the release of 40k's new addition. July 14th would be that day.

This may be absolutely nothing, but Warhammer World have just posted up their events calendar for the year ahead and a couple of things in July took my eye.

Most rumours point to 6th Edition coming at some point in July, and on Saturday the 14th July there is a new art exhibition commencing, along with a Design Studio Open Day and an event the following day called 40K Cataclysm.

Purely speculation on my part but if 6th was coming in July, that would be the most likely date.

Unless Cataclysm is a club event that I hadn't heard about?
