There are some big shutdowns coming up in many locations this week. More maybe coming. So what does that mean on the Games Workshop side of things? Here are some details I dug up.

Games-workshop.com – Open for Business!

When the UK government announced new lockdown measures for England this week, we received a lot of questions about what that means for the Warhammer hobby. The good news is, we’re not expecting any knock-on effects from the lockdown in England to our operations elsewhere in the world. Warhammer shops will stay open (wherever it is safe for them to do so), our webstores are standing by to take your orders, and our factories and warehouses are operating safely – so your weekly Warhammer new releases will keep coming!

Stores in England Closed from Thursday

In England, our Warhammer shops (including Warhammer World) will be closed from Thursday, in line with government regulations. That means today and tomorrow are the last chance you’ll get to visit your local Warhammer store for at least a month, so make sure to pop by and stock up on your hobby essentials before they seal the blast doors.

Other Warhammer Stores – Open Where They Can Be!

There are several other lockdowns in effect in Europe currently, including France, Wales and Belgium. Wherever we have Warhammer stores, we’ll follow local government guidelines, so keep an eye on reliable news outlets in your area for the latest. If your local shop is closed, don’t worry. We’ll get you your Warhammer as long as trucks can drive, planes can fly and your lovely local postie is making deliveries on your street. In short – we’re always open online.

Stay Connected Online

Lockdown can be a tough time, and it’s good to keep busy. Remember, to look out for each other. Now’s the time to arrange video build and paint sessions with your friends and take a moment to check in on each other (virtually).

Important News – Very High ‘Tier 3’ Alert Update

On Friday 30th October, Nottinghamshire enters Very High ‘Tier 3’ alert as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19. The team here at Warhammer World have been working carefully to make sure we can continue to offer limited services in a safe manner at this time.

Here’s what changes you can expect if you come to visit us:

The Most Important Bits

All visits to Bugman’s Bar must be booked in advance. To book your 90-minute time slot, give the Warhammer World store a call on 0115 900 4151 between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

To comply with the latest government guidelines for the Nottinghamshire area, groups visiting Warhammer World must consist of six people or fewer, all from the same household or support bubble.

Face coverings must be worn at all times, other than when sitting and enjoying delicious Bugman’s food.

Social distancing will be in full effect. Please pay attention to signs and one-way systems, and help us keep everyone (especially you) safe while you’re visiting.

There might be queues. We’ll be limiting the number of people in-store at any one time.

There are no in-store activities, painting, or events. We all want to get back to the hobby activities we love so much, but safety comes first. When this changes, we’ll let you know.

The Retail Stores

The Warhammer and Forge World stores are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm for people from Nottinghamshire. There’s no need to book in advance to visit these areas, but we are limiting the number of people in-store at any one time. If you’re asked to wait, we have a Rhino outside, which is a great photo opportunity!

Please wear a face covering while in the stores. If you’re after something in particular, give the staff a friendly call on 0115 9004151 or email warhammerworld@gwplc.com, and they’ll let you know if it’s in stock so you don’t waste a trip.

If you’re not from Nottinghamshire, why not get in touch with your nearest Warhammer shop instead – they’ll be glad to help you out. And don’t forget – games-workshop.com is always open to fulfil your hobby needs!

Bugman’s Bar

The world’s best duardin-inspired bar will be open daily from 11 am – 4 pm for single households or support bubbles from the Nottinghamshire area.

Food and drink are available by table service only, and only during the 90-minute period you’ve booked in advance. Your table booking can be used by up to six people from the same household or support bubble. You don’t have to wear face coverings while you’re at your table – but please put them back on if you get up and move about.

At this time, we’ll also only be serving food from our main menu – no breakfasts just now, sorry!

Museum and Events Hall

These will be closed from Friday 30th October until further notice.

Before You Set Out

A reminder that all visits to Bugman’s Bar must be booked in advance. The Exhibition Centre and Events Hall will remain closed until further notice.

To book your time slots, give the Warhammer World store a call on 0115 900 4151 between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

If you’re from Nottinghamshire, and you want to stop by to pick up some hobby essentials and grab a bite to eat – we’ll be delighted to give you a warm, safe and socially distanced welcome. If you’re from further afield, please be patient at this time – we’ll be glad to welcome you to the home of the Warhammer hobby just as soon as the situation improves.
