Warlord Games is expanding the Warlords of Erehwon into a different genre taking us to the Mythic Americas with Tribal Nations and Aztec Warbands. These went live over the weekend
via Warlord Games
For an eternity two opposing forces-The Everliving and the Everchanging, as ordained by The One, have been pushing against each other on uncountable battlefields so as to maintain Balance in all existence. Here on Earth, the One has also created The Ruling Children, or simply, The Children. The Children have come in many forms in the past. Today WE are the Children. As today's Ruling Children, our only role is to help maintain the Balance or perhaps (no one really knows) to unbalance it. |

Tlalocan-Bound Dead
| The Tlalocan-Bound Dead are the core undead warrior units for the warband. With no real weapons and lackluster stats these undead soldiers will benefit greatly from buff spells. When benefiting from Power Siphon the standard Bound Dead unit become powerful attackers or a hardy objective holder when enhanced with the Armor of the Gods. |
Jaguar Warriors
| The elite melee unit of an Aztec warband, the Jaguar Warriors are not undead, but living humans. Sporting light armor and with the ability to upgrade the unit to macuahuitls, a full unit of jaguar warriors can carve a path through enemy warrior units. Their high cost and light armor makes them vulnerable to counter attacks and a tactful Aztec player should deploy them carefully. |
Tlalocan-Bound Marauders
| The Marauders are a Large monster unit of undead. These powerful undead benefit from two hand-to-hand attacks which can be upgraded to macuahuitls. Their offensive output paired with the Undead and Dread special rules make this unit a dangerous assailant for any enemy unit. Their low numbers and high cost makes careful utilization a must. |
Quetzalcoatl
| Unlike other monstrosities, the Quetzalcoatl is a powerful spellcaster. With special rules of Fast and Flies, the winged serpent can move around the field with ease and reach most parts of the battlefield with its spellcasting ability. The Quetzalcoatl’s multiple melee attacks, high stats and Venomous ability makes the Quetzalcoatl a force to be feared in melee as well. |
Ayar
| The Ayar is the ultimate tar-pit unit against standard warriors with an incredibly high resistance value. An undead monstrosity, the Ayar can threaten enemy units with its strong melee attacks and by hurling corpses as a ranged attack. The Stuck In rule makes it difficult for enemy units to escape combat with the Ayar. |
| Tlalocan High Priest
| The Warlord of the Aztecs is the Tlalocan High Priest, a powerful spellcaster who starts at Magic Level 2. The High Priest focuses on fortifying friendly units or attacking the enemy through magic. He is a stand out support character who ideally should not try to face enemy units in melee combat. | |
| Spider Sisters
| The support spell casting unit for the Aztecs is the Spider Sisters. Sporting a small unit size and Magic Level 1, the Spider Sisters are best used to focus on a single spell and leveraging it to enhance the Aztec troops within range. Spider Sisters are not a hardy combat unit and will not stand up to an attack by most enemy units. | |

Mohawk Warriors
| Mohawk Warriors are the core melee unit in the Tribal Nations warband. They have a better than average agility, Woodsmen and the option to take tomahawks; making them a stand out ambush unit. These warriors can move through terrain with ease to attack their targets but their lack of armor makes them vulnerable to enemy counterattacks. |
Seneca Archers
| Tribal Nations warbands will center around a core of Mohawk Warriors and Seneca Archers infantry which support the main points of attack on the battlefield. . Seneca Archers provide the Tribal Nations with high quality shooting, which is key for such a mobile force. |
War Eagles
| A flying beast unit with a Fast 8 movement and the Flies rule, an Eagles unit can fight in melee or at range with dropped rocks. Their low resistance makes them susceptible to enemy attacks. Eagles can be used to quickly flank an enemy force or to act as an accompanying unit to a mounted Sachem. |
Sasquatches
| The hardy, melee monster unit for the Nations warband, the Sasquatch have high strength and resistance and three attacks per model. These monsters can pulverize an unsuspecting enemy unit with their Frenzied Charge and always act as a great distraction to the enemy. Attacks against the Sasquatch with a high SV value still threaten these monsters so their placement on the battlefield is of the utmost importance. |
Wendigo
| The Wendigo is the monstrosity choice for the Tribal Nations and is a powerful force to behold on the battlefield. With two Order Dice and Woodsmen the Wendigo can perform its four attacks from an ambush to obliterate the enemy units. |
| Sachem Warlord on Eagle
| The mounted Sachem is a fast warlord option for a Tribal Nations warband. He gives an army list access to the “flies” special rule and with a move of 10” the mounted Sachem Warlord can access most parts of the battlefield with ease. | |
| Sachem Warlord on Foot
| The Warlord of the Tribal Nations is the Sachem. The Sachem can take the standard roster of character upgrades and he can also gather a small group of warriors to accompany him. | |
| Medicine Man
| The Medicine Man is the Tribal Nations spellcasting character and can be upgraded up to Magic Level 3. With accompanying warrior bodyguards, the Medicine Man can support his allies with both offensive and defensive spells. Innate to the Medicine Man is the “Regrowth of the Woods” spell which he always gets at no points cost and is core to providing the cover protection the army requires. | |
| Wolves
| A melee beast unit, Wolves can manoeuvre through large areas of the battlefield with their Fast 8 movement. With two hand-to-hand attacks per model, Wolves deal out a reliable number of attacks on the charge. Their average stats make them somewhat fragile but by retaining a Run order they can greatly increase their chances of completing a charge on the enemy. | |
