Sam: When the Warhammer Community team mentioned they would like some games that players could play at home by themselves, I jumped at the chance to get involved. In fact, I got so carried away that I came up with a mini campaign system!

In this campaign, you’ll control a small hunting party that has been tasked to slay a Troggoth King and hopefully stop these savage creatures from raiding your lands. You’ll fight three Warhammer Age of Sigmar battles in the campaign, each one against ‘the game’ rather than a real opponent. You’ll also have to manage your resources, as there is a chance that models slain in one game will not return in the next. All in all, it should provide you with a few solid hours of gaming fun!

Getting the Family Involved
Although the rules are designed so that someone can play through the campaign on their own, there is no reason the units in your army can’t be controlled by a team of people. As you’ll be working together, this could be the perfect chance to introduce a family member to the exciting world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

What If You Don’t Have Any Troggoths?
This campaign pits you against bands of troggoths, but if you don’t have any in your collection, you could substitute them with other models. Rockgut Troggoths and Fellwater Troggoths come on 50mm round bases, while Dankhold Troggoths and Troggbosses come on 60mm round bases. To quickly get playing, you could swap in miniatures mounted on similar-sized bases.

The particularly adventurous amongst you (not to mention the budding game designers) might wish to tweak the rules that control the adversaries so that, instead of using the troggoth warscrolls, they use the warscrolls for the miniatures in your collection. In this way, you could theme your campaign to fight against a different foe, such as an Abhorrant Ghoul King and his legions of Crypt Horrors and other nasties.

You’ll find a handy downloadable booklet linked below that contains all the rules you need.
