I've been meaning to submit this monster for a long time. The goal was a more in-theme Maulerfiend being constructed by a Sorcerer on the battlefield - with some vibes from the jaguar monster from The Road to El Dorado (and God bless Sir Elton John). He's the most ambitious conversion project I've ever taken on. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out - if I had to do it again (shudder) I would kink up the very straight rod that connects his two torso sections. For the Sorcerer, I used leftover bits from the Rubric Sorcerer kit but I didn't have more legs... 

Big Limitations on the GW Webstore Opening

Not a big fan of the over the top foulness of nurgle so cut off the spilling intestines, made a basic tabard, swapped in a trimmed down terminator head and hello renegade Templar captain.

This is my Nurgle themed Chaos Knights force.
Just finished putting the final touches on my new WarDogs.
I used Foetid blight drones for bodies.
The legs are onager dune crawler legs, cut and repositioned to be tri-legged. I used the 4th leg to become the melee arm.
The melee weapon is 3 ork choppas together to continue the tri-theme.
The guns are from armigers.
A little bit of highlighting to go on the Knights themselves and my force will be ready to go!

9th Edition Rumors are saying.. September?

Yea, while we have had a ton of rumors looking towards a new edition, and they are starting to trickle in, 9 edition does seem to be on it's way and may have already just arrived at US warehouses.

Space Marine vs Necron Box set seems like a good candidate for the release, and what we are expecting out of 9th edition is a direct upgrade and refinement to the current edition. (not an earth shattering change to the game). We look to the Psychic Awakening books which they would not realistically invalidate as a new edition as some security to any main game changes.

However, COVID 19 has most likely put a damper on this release.... so only time will tell what it will mean.

Looking into the Future of 3D Printing. Anvil Digital Forge, and a Sneak Peak from Raging Heroes

I know we have brought this up before, but this model of operations is quite wonderful and I am excited to see it through (maybe even get a dumbed down resin printer type of thing). The idea of Patreon or subscription with being able to purchase individual STLs or even the finished miniatures for those of us without access to a printer is really catching on.

War with- Giant Spiders Coming..... + Wargames Atlantic Outsource has Started

We were looking last week at all the new sets that Wargames Atlantic has and is releasing for just about every wargame out there, Fantasy Halfling, Centaur, Fauns; Historic Dark Age Irish, Persians, Afgans, and modernish like The Great War Germans, and Sci-fi with the Les Grognards and Raumjäger Infantry.

Next up it seems or at least in the running with all their releases is Giant Spiders... here is the announcement.

The Future of Miniatures and 3D Printing

Ive seen this model now a couple of times and personally I like it a lot. In the past Ive seen a few start ups go along with this concepts and for the most part watched on with interest, but with Raging Heroes jumping in on it, I figured it was time to start exploring it more.

While I do not have a 3D printer at home, for the price of a few box sets you get one (depending upon quality and resin or plastic).

Scaling up space marines!  
Having collected marines for 20 years or so, they're all decided shrimpy these days. 
I decided I wanted to make them all a little more imposing, so have spent months chipping away. 
Most of them have an enlarged quad and abdomen. Some have lifts in there boots instead depending on how easy the model was to chop at the waste.

This is my Venator gang for Necromunda using the squat profile that I'm mostly finished with.  There's some touch up here and there that I need to do still.  I just finished the Exo Armor conversion today.  It will be a counts-as Ogryn brute.
