Nick: Fury of Magnus takes place during the Siege of Terra itself and is principally concerned with the machinations of the primarch of the Thousand Sons, Magnus the Red. The events sit between Siege of Terra book four, Saturnine and book five, [REDACTED].

As the siege rages, Magnus has his own agenda – he is looking for the missing piece of his soul and believes that it’s on Terra, inside the Palace. It’s a personal story, focused on Magnus and the Thousand Sons, as well as a cadre of Space Wolves and Salamanders who have appeared as major characters in previous Horus Heresy novels.

It’s very much a story of Magnus figuring out, once and for all, whose side he is on. It’s his last chance to turn back and embrace the Emperor again.

This is a book of huge sweeping spectacle, but also more intimate moments. The emotional resonance Graham has managed to incorporate in the novel between the major characters is deep and strikes a powerful chord.

Like the rest of the Siege of Terra series, Fury of Magnus will be available first as a limited edition hardback. As with all the limited editions from the series, it will include character busts, illustrations and an extended afterword by the author which delves into the themes and writing of the novella. You’ll be able to pre-order this exclusively from the Games Workshop webstore on Saturday 22nd August. It’ll sell out fast, so set yourself a reminder now… Hardback, eBook and MP3 audiobook editions will follow in November.

If you want to read some Siege of Terra right now, you can order the first three novels in the series – The Solar War, The Lost and the Damned and The First Wall – right now. Get reading today to be ready for Fury of Magnus when it hits shelves later in the year.
