You’ve suffered in the shadows for too long. It’s time to rise up and throw off the yoke of Imperial control! The Book of Ruin contains all you need to found a cult, start a rebellion and take control of Necromunda.

What’s Inside?

We’ll kick off by looking at the contents page for the new book.
Wow, that’s a lot to take in! Let’s check out the cults.

Joining a Cult

The Book of Ruin contains all of the rules you need to use a Corpse Grinder Cult, Helot Chaos Cult or Genestealer Cult in your games of Necromunda, including full equipment lists and rules for any cult-specific wargear. If you form a Helot Chaos Cult, you even have the opportunity to perform a Dark Ritual, which could see your gang blessed by the Ruinous Powers.
Your house gangs also get the chance to join in on the insurrection. They now have the option of embracing the Dark Gods and becoming corrupted or, even more insidiously, joining a Genestealer Cult. This means, of course, that your gang will be blessed by the Patriarch.
As well as being fun and thematic this also opens up some really cool conversion opportunities – can you imagine how a Goliath ganger would look with an additional arm or a Cawdor fighter having seen the light and holding a cult icon?*

Never a Dull Moment

The book contains 18 new scenarios. These are designed to complement the Uprising Campaign found in Necromunda: Dark Uprising but can be used in standalone Skirmish games or any of the other Necromunda campaigns. Six of these are multiplayer scenarios, including ‘Meeeeeeeeeat!’, which features a new threat to all of the gangs involved – Crazed Cannibals.

A Twist in the Tale

There is a whole section of the book dedicated to arbitrator tools which is perfect for anyone running a Necromunda campaign. There are rules for including Horrors of the Underhive in your scenarios – gangs are not going to want to mess with these wandering monsters.
It also features six twists that you can put on the Uprising Campaign from Necromunda: Dark Uprising, including Survivors of the Apocalypse – who will claim the new Triumph, Lord of the Wasteland?
There are also a number of special events that you can include in your campaigns. For example, how would everyone in your campaign cope if all of their fighters had Burning Blood for a week?

For Hire

Seven new Dramatis Personae Hired Guns are available for you to add to your cults or outlaw gangs. For example, Alyce Shivver is half-human and half-warp spawn and the ex-Orlock ganger is back in Hive Primus with a few scores to settle.
The Book of Ruin is available to order from Saturday. If you’re worried about how your gang will deal with all of these new cults that are springing up, then you should hire some extra help.
