Games Workshop has been working hard on how we see them and it used to be that just the thought of working for them (among my own gaming groups at the local watering hole) was enough to crack up and make jokes about GW as the Inquisition....... "great games/miniatures, but are you kidding."
Games Workshop is doing wonders for the hobby right now... ya know... "Rising Tide Lifts All Boats".... as more and more people enter the hobby and their outlook is improving.
Today I was pointed to this.... GW sharing it's profits among employees. Yep. Awesome-sauce.

Warhammer creator Games Workshop has shared out a £5 million bonus to its employees after the company reported a 15 percent rise in sales.
Shares in the fantasy miniatures firm, headquartered in Lenton, also jumped as the company announced sales for the year to June 2 were approximately £254 million. Last year's figure was £219.9m.
Group pre-tax profits also stood at more than £80 million for the year, according to an update to the London Stock Exchange, up from £74.5 million in last year.
In response to the figures, the company paid out more than £2,500 to all its employees, saying: "As in the prior year, in recognition of our staff's contribution to these results, we paid during the year profit share bonuses amounting in total to £5 million.
Essentially.... Profits are up. Employees getting bonuses (like many of the people on the ground deserves).
All is looking good in the world....... (of our hobby).
