Some come to the cursed city of Shadespire for treasure. Some come to fulfill ancient oaths. Others seek to corrupt the city for their malevolent gods. But Mollog?
Mollog just wants a nap – and he’ll smash the skull of anyone who gets in his way.

Mollog’s Mob turns Warhammer Underworlds on its head – not so much a warband as a single, super-powerful fighter and his support team. Brutally effective in aggressive play, you’ll find Mollog’s mob fun, fast and completely unlike any other warband you’ve played before. Let’s take a look at the fighters.
Here he is – Warhammer Underworlds’ single most powerful fighter. Mollog is an absolute beast before you factor in his special rules. With them, he’s a living wrecking ball capable of single-handedly dispatching entire warbands with a few swings of his club. A hefty 7 Wounds, on the other hand, allow Mollog to weather enemy assaults while preparing a deadly counter-strike.

Mollog is unique among Fighters in Warhammer Underworlds, in that he can charge even if he has a move token, and when he’s Inspired, he can charge even if he has a charge token! Mollog becomes Inspired once he’s taken some damage, meaning it’s rarely a case of ‘if’, but ‘when’…

The other fighters in Mollog’s warband aren’t particularly tough but excel at harassing enemies and generally being a nuisance to deal with. Bat Squig is a perfect example – while it’s incapable of taking objectives, it’s incredibly fast, with 3 Dodge making it nightmarish to pin down once Inspired. You’ll want to use this little guy to set up key Supports for when Mollog attacks.
Stalagsquig isn’t so much a fighter as a particularly deadly piece of terrain – one that’s key to success with Mollog’s Mob. Deployable in ANY unoccupied hex – including objectives! – this guy lets you undermine enemy plans before they’ve even had a chance to get started.
Lastly, we’ve got the Spiteshroom – a self-detonating mushroom that’s deceptively useful. With the ability to hit multiple foes at once, Spiteshroom is great for finishing fighters who have been weakened by Mollog.
Run in and smash everything, right? Well, it’s not quite that simple. Mollog’s Mob is a surprisingly nuanced warband – one where victory or defeat hinges on a single fighter. Mastering the warband means knowing when to strike, when to take risks and when it’s worth holding back, as well as getting to grips with the smaller fighters in the warband.
Any opponent worth their shadeglass will try to take Mollog down as quickly as possible, so you’ll want to turn this to your advantage wherever possible. Shrouded in Gloom will help prevent enemies from picking you off at range, while Horrific Stench allows you to engage much more safely with large groups. Meanwhile, Got Them gives you some Glory for being next to enemy fighters, allowing you to grab key upgrades early on!

Don’t underestimate your squiggly beasts – each has something to offer. The Stalagsquig, in particular, is invaluable – by deploying it next to an enemy, you’ll be able to guarantee a vital Support in an early Charge. It’s got some nifty ploys and upgrades, too – Hobble lets you slow down enemies, There the Whole Time lets you return a Stalagsquig to the battlefield and Rooted to the Spot lets you hold objectives, allowing for more control-based strategies.

You’ll be able to grab Mollog’s Mob for yourself soon – make sure to pre-order your set this weekend!
