I wanted to do Mortarion a little differently. I just didn't like the way the corruption looked leaking out of the model everywhere & hated the moth wings. I just wanted a bad ass daemon primarch. It was one of the more difficult models I've painted & I had one hell of a time figuring out what colors to use. The wings are quite a bit heavier than the moth wings, so basing it was a pain as well. I don't think I've ever been so happy to finally finish a model. Bring on Kaldor Draigo for a rematch. Death to the False Emperor!
