Rumors on the First Primarch of 2017, An Eldar Combo Boxset and Exodites?
This rumor dives into several things we have already heard in that there are no Sisters for awhile and that the first loyal primarch will be Roboute. check out the latest rumors.
The Assault: A Look at Ranged vs Melee Combat in the Genesys Project.
The 2nd Age has been deemed the age of technology by early playtesters. While part of that is true, with several technology species modifications, powered armor, and vehicles, there is a lot more to it than that.
So a lot of what is getting discussed with in house early playtesters is ranged combat vs melee combat. As with other games we all know and play, if you don't shoot those melee specialists dead they are going to get you, but in the Genesys Project it goes a step further.

While I am a big fan of 40k I am also a big fan of Dropzone and the new Dropfleet by hawkwargames.
Dropzone is not only one of the most well balanced games I have played but also some of the best miniatures about.
While I have not yet had the pleasure of getting my Dropfleet Kickstarter at this time (14-12-16) a friend who has gotten there’s gave me his spare Shaltari ships and I have gotten myself a battleship in the meantime as well. I was also lucky enough to get a space station sprue in a gift bag when I visited the hawk open day back in September.

January White Dwarf reveals the Fall of Cadia and the Chaos Battletome Disciples of Tzeentch. Of course there are models as well, like the Truimvirate of the Imperium, which apparently is telling us that we have to purchase all the models in a single box set. Hmmm, thats a little disappointing.

Artwork Revealing Duardin?
Interestingly enough, Warhammer Community released some wallpaper images for everyone for Christmas. However, most of us had seen this artwork before with the exception of looking at this image in a Portrait pic instead of the standard Landscape image. The portrait has Duardin along the bottom, possibly giving us a hint of what is to come.

I have finished another wave of turquise TAU. This time I clashed against some Forge World miniatures as well as GW's. The colour scheme was expanded with use of orange and it totally buffed the visuals. I also improved the setup to take pictures so now colours look almost like a real deal thing.

I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in 2 years, got the painting itch and went out and bought the Skitarii Start Collecting set. I'm a sucker for HQ models, so I started on the Tech-Priest Dominus and used it to come up with a paint scheme. I looked to the art of John Blanche as inspiration, and I'm really happy with the result! I've also included a WIP shot of the Onager Dunecrawler I'm working on now. Hope you enjoy it.

Andy Chambers, the master of creative game design talks about Unit Design Theory. This is a good watch, and interesting from a man who has worked extensively with Games Workshop on 40k, Blizzard on Starcraft 2, and a myriad of different projects.
Dark Angels Codex Sold Out and No Longer Available
We are eagerly anticipating January releases and exactly what that will bring us. The Dark Angels codex is sold out and not available in the US and Australia, although a soft cover is readily available in the UK, Germany and elsewhere.
Since I've gotten plenty of emails about the hardcover codex being sold out, I wanted to make certain readers are aware that this most likely is just the codex moving over to a soft cover codex in your region.

The Genesys Project HeroPlay and Events
The Genesys Project is a game where you can create your own army, its rules, weapons, and powers. Progressing your faction through the three Ages of Genesys during campaign play is a lot of fun, but there is something we have not talked about yet openly to everyone. The single missing element are those major events in history that can really turn things around or spell doom for your race. These are Events.

Digging out and dusting off the chaos army I haven't really worked on since 5th edition.
Ever wonder why is there not a chaos variant Land Raider? What I wouldn't do for a Landraider that can take both Typhus AND a 5 man unit of terminators? Personally I would give it the ability to swap out the twin lascannons for either hades auto-cannons or ecto-plasma cannons.

Create a Faction Contest: Community Favorite

Canoness Veridyan Letters from GW
The Canoness Veridyan model is currently out of stock, and those that got them had to be quick to get in their orders when they went up. Apparently some early people that got their orders in almost immediately are still are not getting their Canoness yet. I think at this point any Sisters of Battle models are going to be extremely popular.
