Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower Board Game for the Age of Sigmar

The new Age of Sigmar board game will be called Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower according to the latest rumors now. The release will be sometime next month in May, and appears that expansions are quite possible depending upon it's success.

This diorama won my local Armies on Parade.  It is a non-canonical envisioning of the Blood Angels departing from Baal to embark out into the Imperium after the death of Sanguinius.  They are being led by Azkaellon who is carrying Sanguinius’ Spear of Telesto.  Non-canonical in that the Storm Talon, Land Raider Redeemer, & Stormraven did not exist yet.  The Mk VII armor is stated to have been created at the tail end of the Heresy though the jump pack might be temporally displaced as well.  The motivation was after reading Fear to Tread where Librarian Kano envisioned the death of the Blood Angels Primarch.  We all know what happened to the Legions after the Heresy, so this was my take on the Blood Angels finally coming to grips with what the future held and taking solidarity in the idea they are proving their loyalty to the Imperium.

Its out, images of the new model are making the rounds thanks to the Barnstaple Slayers club. Its about what we expected, but is nice to see first hand. We are expecting more information on this model and it's release this weekend.

Blasted Winter Battlefield Set

A great video by TemplarsCrusade01 was just put up and shows off a product that can be used for any game, called Blasted Winter Battlefield Set from Warlord Games that came out in early December. The video by TemplarsCrusade01 shows off the product really well, and the box set comes with everything you need for your games.

The Great Silver Tower of Tzeentch

A new board game pitting the forces of Tzeentch seems to be on the near horizon, and coming out of retirement to mention it is Hastings from Warseer. He mentions its a hybrid quest/pitfight, and entering the Great Silver Tower of Tzeentch. Sounds like a good one is coming.

After this week, the 30 year celebration for Space Marines will happen at your local Games Workshop stores. This weekend all the details will be revealed.

This Week "No Minis"

From Games Workshop it appears that no minis are going to be on the release schedule. Instead we will be seeing the third Realmsgate Wars book.  I fully expect that we will hear more on this week's releases later today. For now though, this is rumored until we get a concrete release list or leaked images.

New Orcs and Goblins Coming

Rumors are hitting that Orcs and Goblins will get an Age of Sigmar update in a few weeks, starting up on April 23rd. That leaves quite a bit between now and then....

A List of 40k Going Away

After a huge selection of models that seem to be part of Spring Cleaning for Games Workshop, there are also some models that are on the 40k side of things as well. The odd one here that I find, is that the Fenris Warzone: Curse of the Wulfen is listed as no longer available. Hopefully it's going to go paperback.

Well the end of March is here, and with it the site turns 6 years old. For those dedicated readers that may have noticed today, I actually took a day off from the site, except for answering a few questions.

So I played Twilight Imperium for 8 hours last night, woke up to Easter, and celebrated a family birthday. Overall a good day off.

Its back on, with business back to normal.

These are nice, and gives you a chance to really get what you want out to fill up your heavy weapon ranks. Plus free Warscrolls from Forgeworld to add your Monstrous Beasts to your AoS games.

Lost Patrol Up on the GW Webstore

Lost Patrol, the tile board game we have been hearing about is now up on the GW webstore under Blood Angels. You can see it here (assuming it has not been removed). The interesting part is that the game is listed as available for pre-order in the on the listing, but temporarily out of stock under Blood Angels.

Total War Warhammer: Not Seen Yet Videos- Collection

Hawk Wargames has been busy with 3 Admiral Beta Test Day events in 3 different locations of the World. While I have not heard back from anyone who attended the Admiral day in Germany, I can only assume that the beta was as good as the one I attended.
