Reconquest is Live Today

Revelations On the Resistance: Starter Set Battle Report!

Last night I was up a little late, getting in a very special battle for a report today. A starter set battle report with the Resistance. I was very interesting on how this army was going to play out, and when my opponent jumped in with his Rapiers and quickly downed my Lifthawk in one of the first shots fired in the game, I was a little disappointed...... However, the Resistance gave it a good fight, and some surprising new insight was gained.

What's Going to Happen with the Dark Eldar Codex

The Dark Eldar brings lots concern for Dark Eldar players. Why? There are lots of characters and some other units (like the Voidraven) with no model. Mandrakes don't work, nor does the Court. There are some things here that I just see happening.... like Vect becoming a Lord of War, and what an awesome model that might end up becoming, the final release of the Voidraven Bomber (been done from reliable sources, and a minor tweeks.

Faeit's Tarot: The End Times are Here.

This week we saw the release of Grey Knights and the Assassin dataslates. While this was expected, Grey Knights ended up being one of the shortest releases we have seen in a long time, with almost no real attention to them. No new model releases. While disappointing, its easy to see where all the sculpting effort was put, as we saw leaks of new Warhammer Fantasy models arriving for the campaign, The End Times, starting off with Nagash.

Leaked Information Saying Crom the Conquerer is to Return

We have had notice of a couple characters in the new Warhammer Fantasy Nagash book. The End Times looks like it will bringing in many characters, including Valten and Vlad von Carstein. Now there are rumors that Crom the Conqueror is coming as well.

The Latest on the Nagash Book: Pre-Orders

Now already up for pre-orders, Nagash Book 1 will include rules for Valten, and a Chaos Warrior Champion. By far, Nagash is a top notch model with amazing detail. I have the old one, and there is just no comparison.

Lord of Change Spotted?

A reader here on Faeit 212 has spotted something interesting. I have not been able to confirm or check to see if I can find it myself, but a Lord Change release would be a long time waiting for new greater daemon models. 

Please consider this a rumor. I am working on some technical issues (computer crash), and will look into this more ASAP.

I thought you might find this interesting. I was checking out GW's mobile site (can't confirm on the full site at the moment) and under Special Availability / While Stocks Last for Warhammer Fantasy what appears but the Lord of Change. Could be a fluke but perhaps we'll be seeing plastic greater daemons sometime soon.

Night Lord and Iron Warriors Contemptor Dreadnoughts

Up for pre-order are two new Contemptor Dreadoughts from Forgeworld this morning, with a release date of the 28th. The Contemptor Dreadnoughts have always been some of my favorite models from Forgeworld, and now they have finally released these two dreadnoughts for two very cool legions.

Resistance Fighters.

The details of how to build a Resistance army list are going to be extremely varied from my reading over the new Reconquest supplement. There seems to be a large number of good builds and directions to take your new Resistance army, possibly even more than the other factions.

Resistance Fighter are the standard infantry choice for the Resistance, and they are going to be a force to be reckoned with. In CQB =close quarter combat these infantry very much equal the UCM or Scourge with an armor of 2 and CQB of 1. They do have the subterranean rule which is fun, but it's their gin that are exciting.

Their assault rifles have the small arms-6 rule, but they also come with 5 E6 shots that have sc and focus -2 rules. Of course their range is limited, but with focus -2 you can quickly get a high strength shot with some punch.

Load them up on a battle bus and their MOve Fire of 0 now becomes 6" and they can fire our of the bus.

Balance is key though in Dropzone and those rpg's are only L-1. Not to mention firing out of a battle bus gives you a +1 accuracy penalty. However apply those concepts to the exotic occupation veterans and you have some very deadly battle buses running around with captured Scourge Plasma Rifles.

I am seeing lots of fun and exciting ways to build a Resistance list. We will be talking a lot more in the coming days on more fun with DzC.
