Faeit's Rumor Tarot: Breaking Ork Rumors, and More

The last couple weeks we have had a swarm of Tyranid rumors, but this week, has been a tide of Green. Orks are thought to be either the first or second codex of 2014 by the rumor mill, and already we are discovering what is being worked on to prepare the Orks for their 6th edition launch.

So lets move past the current Space Marine Launch........

The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.

Each week, Faeit's Rumor Tarot will take a look at what rumors came up among the myriad of games that were covered here on Faeit 212. On occasion I will be breaking any weekend developments that were discovered or revealed, so keep a watch out, for on the Faeit's Tarot, you never know what secrets there may be.

Breaking Ork Rumors

New rumors are still coming with the Orks, and while we have been talking a lot about Weirdboyz and how they generate their psychic powers, more information is starting to flow. Here is the latest on Orks, followed by the rest of the weekly rumor round-up.

Waarghpoints
Every 3th Ork Mob Generate 1 Point, only Units with 10 or more Boyz count.

Weirdboyz
Weirdboyz do not generate Warppoints. Can use Waarghpoints for Psypowers.

Lootaboyz
New Special rule; the Lootaboyz Boss can use one Weapon of the last defeated Enemy Unit as an "one Shot". The Rule can be used only once per Defeaded Unit!

Bigmek
The use of the Snokk Attack Gun cost one Waargh point per shot

Waarghboss
Can use the ability "Waargh Cry", which cost one Waarghpoint.

large squads generate more points (more than if you MSU'd)

Dakka squads if they kill models in the shooting phase generate a wyrd token, placed beside the unit.

Choppin squads generate a wyrd token every round they're in combat.

Squads above a certain size generate a wyrd token at the start of the ork turn (including the first),

And you get 1 per 3 as your rumor suggested at the start of your turn as well.

When you go to cast a power you simply collect tokens from squads (and there is a strategy to use tokens from units about to regen them as they can't have more than 1.

Wyrd tokens are lost if the unit is fleeing, off the table (even ongoing reserves) or destroyed.

there is a maximum amount of wyrd you can use in a turn.

Ork powers have minimum and maximum wyrd they can spend (think the black legion supplement) and that wyrd boyz can explode again, and it becomes more and more likely the more tokens they use on a power

Orks will become a special Rule for they Psykers. Wierdboyz do not generated Warp Points, Units do it! 1 Point per 3 Units in your core Army.

Orks do not use levels. For every 3 Units your Armylist fill every Psyker in your Ork army can user one Point.

A Primarch Returns

Coming at Games Day UK, the next Primarch coming is not a rumor. It is definitely coming in the next few weeks from Forgeworld. What is still rumor, is who it is. Here is the latest.

It's Ferrus, he connects with Fulgrim into a duel/diorama.

Tyranids

Last week we had a large number of Tyranid rumors come through, after all they are rumored to be released in November of this year by the more credible rumor sources on Faeit 212 on Bols. There are others stilll saying the codex is lined up for the first codex of 2014, but my suspicions are that they are going off of old rumor bits or schedules that no longer apply.

If you want the latest rumors that came last week, follow the link to last week's Rumor Tarot.

Earlier this week, we had some rules that were said to be playtesting sets, and to be honest, I think they require a bunch of salt, so if you want to check them out just follow the linkage.

It does look like Tyranids are coming, and even though Space Marines is a bigger release, (enough to shut down the GW site with pre-orders), Tyranids is probably the most important release for the game this year. This army needs the 6th edition update on allies, FOC, and More.

We also have these that made the rounds earlier in the week from BigRed.

Tyranids
-Mycetic Spore is coming with the new Tyranid release
-Plastic combo-kit that makes the Spore and another large bug.
-It is an enormous creature, with an immense abdomen/transport sac, that spills over the sides of a standard oval base.
-It has tiny vestigial arms similar to a Zoanthropes, and a head with a tentacle ringed maw.
-The giant abdomen/sac looks swollen, and has internal protuberances looking like Tyranid creatures are stretching the skin from within, about to rip their way out.
-It has forward arms options that can be upgraded for various biomorph/weapon options.
-The secondary creature build option replaces the abdomen/sac with something entirely different.
