Chaos Daemon QnA: Its Time for Some Questions

Now we can finally get to some answers, as someone with the codex is has been gracious enough to come on board and do a QnA to answer many of the questions that are still plaguing us. So remember the number one rule, please do not ask for the following, and be courteous.

Tyranids: Carnifexes, Deepstriking Emplacements, and a New Psyker

A Tyranid codex is being worked on, and it looks like it will be sometime next year at the earliest. This does not mean that there will not be any updates for our favorite bugs before hand,  but that a codex is at least a sometime around a year+ away.

Tau and Eldar Hints. Whats Missing?

Even though we have rumors that Tau are next, and Eldar after that, we have more hints that something is under way. At Warhammer World the displays are once again missing portions of the armies on display there. We had this once before that I can recall off the top of my head, when Chaos Marines were missing, so perhaps there is something to this.

There are lots of daemon rules here, and while some duplicate, there is a ton more here to digest. It seems a lot of work into these rules, and even from a fluff perspective, they are looking pretty tight from first glance. Warpstorm Table

The new Chaos Daemons are going to have some randomness thrown into them, in the form of the Warpstorm table according to the latest White Dwarf battle report and current rumors. This was found on GW fanworld and posted up across the forums. Thought I would share it.

A new stat line has been posted on the Games Workshop website for Daemon Princes, and wow, is it low. If rumors are true and Daemons are losing Eternal Warrior, all you can do is hope that Daemon Princes get to keep it. T4?

Tyranids Next:For April's White Dwarf

Earlier today I received an email that the next White Dwarf (April's edition/ released in March) was seen, and in it, Tyranids were spotted. Exactly what it was that was seen is still a mystery, but its still exciting to think that our favorite bugs might just be next for some sort of an update or release.

Daemon vs Dark Eldar Battle Brief

A Couple nights ago I was able to squeeze in a game against the old Daemons, a sort of send off for the old codex, since the new one is right around the corner. So playing againt the now old codex, I sent in my Dark eldar to see what would occur.

March Releases are Full of Daemons, limited edition releases, and even a selection of Hobbit models. The most fun of course is that the codex/army releases are full of limited edition releases, one for each of the chaos gods.

Daemon Princes Moving to HQ/ Skull Cannons

A few brief snippets of rules are appearing over the internets. We are looking at a 36" S8 AP4 Skull Cannon, and possibly more. It is confirmed through pic leaks that plague drones are Jet Packs of some sort. (everything is still very fuzzy)

Getting the Jump on Death From the Skies

Death From the Skies has been one of the most difficult supplements to figure out exactly what is in it, and more importantly if I want it. (of course I do). First off, I do not have the book, and I will probably get it down the road as it becomes available again.

Direct Only Release and Retailers Respond with Bans

Some independent retailers are taking a strong stand against Games Workshop's new release "Death from the Skies", and banning it from their stores. Its not what is in the book that has become the issue, but rather that the release is direct only.

Public Service Announcement from the GW Dev Team

There is one thing for sure: 6th Edition 40k thus far has had a flurry of releases, updated FAQs, and waves of models. Things are changing for Games Workshop, and in my opinion its a welcome change.
