Warhammer and Warhammer 40k Interuptions

We have heard this through rumors before, but this time we have a copy paste section of a product brief sent to retail stores. It basically comes down to this, that Hobbit releases will not impact Warhammer or 40k releases, and will instead be on top of normal releases that are planned.

Ork Model Wave in April and Tau in June

We have heard bits about an Ork wave coming next year, and while it may not be a codex, there does seem to be something on the horizon regarding orks. This rumor bit is taken from that conversation, and brings up some timelines about when we might see an Ork wave and the Tau codex.

Tau Battle Suit Tester Comments

Yesterday on Faeit 212, we had posted up conflicting playtest rumors regarding a large battlesuit for Tau. Comments and thoughts on whether or not a people would rather have a Monstrous Creature or a Walker stepping into that role brought about a few playtester comments, or at least people claiming to be so.

Dark Vengeance Chaplin to be Re-released

The Dark Angels side of the Dark Vengeance box was highlighted both the librarian and Interrogator Chaplin as the best models (in my opinion), and for the most part I think most people considered the Chaplin to be a starter set limited release only. This rumor bit, has Games Workshop re-releasing the the Dark Vengeance Chaplin around May of 2013.

Dark Angels Release: Asmodai, Namaan, and Belial

I had not posted this earlier, simply because it was so similar to what we already had for a rumored release. However, I think its very valid to at least get post this up on what the rumored releases will be for Dark Angels coming January.

Tau Battlesuits

Rumors are fickle things, and often come from some vein of truth to them. Earlier we were discussing a walker (vehicle) for Tau. Here is the stats for what might possibly be the same unit, (although it could be a different one), since this one is a monstrous creature.

Tau Walker Rules

There are rumors going on that a large new model coming out will be a Monstrous Creature similar to a Dreadknight. However, in today's rumor we have a an actual walker rumor. Are these two rumors talking about the same unit? Who knows, it is quite possible that both are being playtested.

Quick Modeling Tricks: Converting Shredders to Blasters

Introducing Dez, and his first article for Faeit 212;

I had a few minutes waiting for paint to dry, and I got a bit carried away. I needed to convert a blaster, so I thought I would take pictures of the process and share with the class. This is the first attempt, and I think it came out pretty good for being done so fast and easy.

The items you will need are an Exacto Knife, Glue, a Shredder and a Blast Pistol.

Two New Flyers and Whirlwind Updates

Dark Angels will be a very interesting codex release regardless if you plan on going with Dark Angels or not. First off, they should be extremely popular just because of the starter sets, and second, it will be our first Space Marines codex in 6th edition. So it should give a lot of insight into the direction of marines in the future.

Tonight's Blogs from Around the World will not include all the new entries for the BlogExchange. I will do a part 2 later in the week, as there are just too many to get into one post without giving each its due attention. Part of this issue, was that I missed last week's, since I was in the hospital last Monday. Its time to get caught up with the BlogExchange.

Secret Hobbit Release on the 15th?

With advanced orders already up for the Hobbit Strategy Game, we know that we will be seeing a big release date for December 1st. However, a few astute gamers and online wizards have discovered that there may indeed be a secret Hobbit release beyond what we already know is coming out.

Tau Dreadknight Rumors

First off, the image above is a conversion. None of the rumors below are discussing a Tau Titan, but instead a Dreadknight sized suit that has the aesthetics of the image above.

That being said, a large Dreadknight suit sounds rather fun for Tau. You should heavily expect more and more people moving towards having a small collection of Tau in their armies, after all already a unit of Tau Broadsides with dual Railguns is a fantastic addition to any army list.

New Land Speeder Type

Here is a tiny rumor bit hinting at a new land speeder type that will make the new Dark Angels codex. I dont know if it is the same as the new flyer we are supposed to see, or something completely new.

This week was a hard one, and I felt like I fell so far behind on what was going on in the world of our Hobby that it was going to be impossible to get caught up. There was a lot of rumors going on and even though the month of November looks rather weak in terms of releases, there is a lot going on at the end of December.

Deathwing and Ravenwing Box Options

Yesterday we had some rumors that required quite a bit of salt and included plasma rounds for Assault Cannons and some other things. This morning we are stepping back a little bit, with some rumors that sound much more logical and very doable. Lets take a look.

Dark Angels with "Plasma Rounds"

By far the best part about this rumor set is the "plasma ammo" for Assault Cannons. However, just to be clear, is that this is one of those rumors that should be taken with a near lethal amount of salt.

The Hobbit Strategy Battle Game

The Hobbit Strategy Battle Game is now up for Advanced Order along with all its models. The Starter Set is called "Escape from Goblin Town" which gives us a good idea on where the movie when its released is going. The models look good, the starter set is a decent amount of models, and the rulebook is is nice and thick with a lot for Hobbit fans to dig into.

Autocannon Release Oh My! and More

Daemons in February 2013

The holiday is over, and its time to start really looking at what is on its way. It is very apparent according to sources that Dark Angels are comig in January, and it looks like a Daemons update is heading out way for February.

Yes, you read the title correctly. We have some Black Templar Rumors that may be giving them an update (albeit a White Dwarf one) sometime by summer of 2013. Exciting news for the Templar fans out there.

Emergency Room Visit

I just wanted to keep everyone aware that I am not vanishing. I have spent the last day in the Emergency Room of the Hospital hooked up to all sorts of machines. I will be at the point that I can start to get back to things around here in short order. My pneumonia had taken a turn for the worse and to top that off, they found a kidney stone trying work its way through me. That explained the extreme stomach pain, and the blood.

I am out of the hospital though now, and am recovering. The stone will be gone first, hopefully today, but the pneumonia may take a bit. (my body has til Friday to recover when I start my move. by force of will if need be). God Bless, and I will be back soon.

Internal GW Memo: White Dwarf Delays

There are going to be some delays regarding White Dwarf magazines in North America in both December and January. Now exactly why January would be delayed is a little beyond me, but such is the news.

January White Dwarf Will Feature Dark Angels

Here is a little snippet sent in to me which gives us a timeline for an exciting end the year, first of 2013 codex release for 40k. Accordingly Dark Angels will probably be released for pre-order before December is done, and up hitting the shelves January 5th.

That would be a great way to start off the new year.

Wall Of Martyrs: Advance Orders are Up

The Wall of Martyrs individual kits are now up for advance orders to be released on December 1st. There are three box sets coming with these, so that you can mix and match, or expand upon what you already have.

I am glad they did this with this set, as you can now build your lines how you would like, not to mention that we had rumors of parts of it coming out in the next codex as a fortification.

What is Natfka is Reading: Are You That Guy?

I do a lot of reading online and between all the various sites, there is just too much to get to everything I would like to. Quite often I find myself thinking that I should share a little bit of what I am reading, so this is an attempt at just that.

I am playing with the idea of doing this on a regular basis, so we will see how it goes. Most often my spare reading time is spent on the large number of blogs that are on the BlogExchange, but sometimes I am reading on one page, followed by another, and another, until I have no idea how I got there. Many of those sites get lost.

Wall of Martyrs: Sold Out

This is one set I had not yet gotten around to trying to get yet, I've simply been too busy to get a chance to get one. Now it looks like the limited edition set is done, and sold out, at least here in the United States.

There are reports now on various sites that GW Customer Service is saying that these are sold out in the US, which I am assuming will mean Europe will also be sold out in the near future. For me, its just bad timing, and I hope they will be doing another batch.

Games Workshop's Customer Service

When it comes to customer service from Games Workshop, I have always received second to none great service. It just happens that a Warpsmith (chaos space marine) a good friend of mine received, had some issues, primarily with the power axe the model comes with. The model itself was fine and usable, but the axe was literally missing a large chunk of the handle beneath its hands.

Surprise: Wall of Martyrs Fortification and More Dark Angel Rumors

It looks like the Wall of Martyrs will indeed get at least part of its terrain with rules, or perhaps they will also sell the bunker part separately. This rumor set includes a "Battle Bunker" as a fortification listing. Of course this is still a rumor.

The Eldar Codex Moves Forward

The Eldar codex has been started. I take the rumor below to mean that the design and testing side of things is done, and everything has been handed over to the author for writing. If that is the case its normally a about a 6 month deal to finish it. That doesnt mean released in 6 months, rather the codex will be ready to be released in that time period.
