I finished a special piece today, which I have painted for a close friend.
I was really nervous about this paintjob, cause it is... a freaking primarch! And by the emperor, I wanted to do this model justice.

I’ve just finished off my first squad of Rubrics in Heresy colours. I used the Tamiya method for the first time, priming gloss black and zenithal of lead belcher, before applying the Tamiya clear red. Then I used some liquid mask, on all the parts I wanted to stay red, before airbrushing them copper and highlighting gold. It was quite a faff to take the mask off but it meant I only needed to make a few touch ups on the gold and red.  Then all they needed was some washes and detail work. I’m happy with the results but I can’t imagine making an army of these guys would be particularly fun!

There are new rumors floating around that say a new Space Marine Codex is coming in 2019 and along with it a series of Primaris Marine releases. Of course these are rumors, and I will let you decide.

Dan Abnett will write the final battle between the Emperor and Horus!

Sounds like a great choice that the final book of the Horus Heresy called the Siege of Terra will be written by Dan Abnett.
