Looking Forward to some new 40k
The next few weeks looks like we will be seeing Haley turn to 40k. It seems like it's been awhile since we have had any real attention to the game.
However in the next few weeks a codex is expected for Deathwatch along with a few kits. We are not expecting a big release for them, but Sad Panda has us looking to a new flyer of sorts in the mix.
Along with Deathwatch, the plastic Eldrad we have seen leaked hints at something Eldar coming our way.
Now that August is really here, campaign Fenris is a likely candidate for the future and Kharn is expected since he is heavily rumored to be on the cover of September's White Dwarf.
With the exception of good deals on Start Collecting sets, this seems like the first time in awhile I've been excited for 40k, which is still my game of choice from Games Workshop.

Allegiance Abilities.
Since the generals Handbook was released every new battle tome has included these fantastic new rules for changing how a faction plays. Beastclaw Raiders are no different and they have a couple of great abilities.
Beastclaw Stampede: When a Beastclaw Raider unit charges they can re-roll 1’s to wound in the combat phase.
The Everwinters Blessing: Roll on a chart in each hero phase for a chance to preroll failed saves of a 1, get and extra move or dish out mortal wounds to nearby enemy units.
Command Traits
- Massive Bulk – +1 Wound
- Overwinters Master – Reroll on the Overwinters Blessing Chart
- Avalanche Voice – +8″ to Command ability range
- Famed Hunter – retools Hit rolls of 1 o n your general
- Beast-eater – Reroll wounds vs Monsters
- Fearsome Leader – -1 Braver to nearby enemy units
Magical Artefacts
There are 6 new magic artefacts in the Beastclaw Raiders battletome.
The Elixir of Frostwyrm deals damage to an entry unit in 9″, Th eBleeding Skull Dagger lets you unbind spells, Pelt of Charngar heals wounds, Blade of All-Frost Adds 1 damage to a melee weapon and can stop a hero or monster from fighting, Tokens of the Everwinter are amazing! The bearer can use them to preroll hit, winds and saves for a turn, and the Ice Mammoth Skull Plate lets the wearer re-roll all saves against – Rend attacks.
Overall its another really cool battletome that re-imagines an existing faction and breaths new life into them with only a few new war scroll combinations and some new rules. The highlight for me is the brand new backstory that suits the Beastclaw raiders in the Mortal Realms.

I have been working on this army for awhile now. Attached are the three most recent units I completed; a custom sorcerer on a disc of Tzeentch, terminators and a modified DV hellbrute. I am planning on finishing the rest of the army by the time the rumored CSM focused campaign book hits the shelves. Enjoy!

There have been some very interesting reads on the financials for Games Workshop. I don't generally like to make a lot of comments regarding these, so instead I will focus on what others are saying.

Sisters of Battle: Inside Information.... Also Leman Russ
The Adeptus Sororitas, or Sister's of Battle has been a long wait to get any real intel on a new release, This may be a legit source for real information on them, and literally has them on hold right now. Perhaps waiting for the rumored new edition of 40k hitting next year?
Also Leman Russ in plastic coming? Unclear as to whether this is a follow up to the Daemonic Magnus rumors, which would be awesome to conclude the Warzone Fenris Campaign with two opposing plastic primarchs.
Seasons of War: The Dominance of Order
Order has quite literally wiped everyone else off the face of the map. I suppose its all of the recent Slyvaneth and Stormcast Eternal releases we have seen.

I've been trying to find a way to make snake tails for my Praetorians for a long time. After considering beads or bits of plastic pipes, I decided to pick up 3D modeling and have my snake tails 3D printed by Shapeways, using their high def materials. And I finally assembled them! Love how they look, very organic and alive.

Our What's On Your Table series normally has a very full line up, but this is coming to end after the first couple days of August. Literally the line up has slowed down a bit. In the many years that we have been doing this series, its only happened once before, and that was extremely short lived.

Independent retailers are having an issue with Chaos Space Marine heavy tanks. They are no longer able to order them. This includes Land Raiders, Predators, Vindicators, and Defilers. The Games Workshop US Webstore has several of these listed "temporarily out of stock".

Khorne's Favor: Special 2 Day Rule for the Season of War
Very interesting to allow a new special limited time rule for the Season of War campaign. Khorne's Favor allows Chaos Champions to equip a Weapon of Hate-Forged Brass until midnight (not sure what time zone).

I haven't really brought this one up, but I have been watching it. Mantic has a new edition of Dreadball up on Kickstarter. The Kickstarter has already been funded well over it's goals with 12 days left on it.

Gorechosen is up on the Games Workshop website, and its an amazing deal. We had talked about this before about a month ago, and somehow it slipped in on the GW webstore without much notice. This game is a good deal for the 4 miniatures.....

Hey guys, Nazroth from Scar_hand Painting here.
Once in a while I get an entire army to paint. From a merely grunt through vehicles, heroes and up to huge warmashines and titans. This Warhammer 40,000 Tau army is such a fine commission – from zero to hero with a whole project being thrown onto my desk in a single day along with a colour scheme and overall vision provided by the customer. From then on it’s up to me to fulfill that vision the best I can and build an army that my customer will proudly lead to battle. Below is the first wave of Tau miniatures, but more (much, much more) are incomming.
