What's On Your Table:

This evening I am doing a few extra sets of What's On Your Table, there is just so much nice work here sitting in my inbox that needs to be shared. This is definitely one of them.

What's On Your Table: Techmarine Contemptor Dreadnought

What's On Your Table: Techmarine Contemptor Dreadnought

While casually thinking about space marine dreadnoughts and the roles they fulfill and perhaps inspired somewhat by the librarian and chaplain dreadnoughts I have seen I decided to try my hand at converting a techmarine contemptor dreadnought. A few rough sketches and some digging in a bitz box later I had my answers.

Warhammer 40,000 Tactical Objectives App

Now this looks interesting. An app for tactical objectives featuring all the objective cards and being able to add the faction that you need. The release date of this sometime in the Q3, and Im interested in seeing how this turns out.

White Scars Pre-Orders

Complete out of the park hit today for Forgeworlds new pre-orders. Some dedication to the White Scars with some great upgrade kits is what I was needing... well wanting to see. Here is this week's latest pre-orders from Forgeworld.

More Khorne with Prices for the Month's Releases....... and then some Tzeentch

Its well known that Khorne will occupy much of the month for the Age of Sigmar. We had not yet seen prices for them, which are here, along with some previous info on what is coming around the corner.

Total War: Warhammer The Battle of Black Fire Pass Developer Walkthrough

This is a great walkthrough today of the progress on Total War Warhammer. Its a guided trip through a scripted battle.... and remember its still pre-alpha at this point. A great game, and slowly its coming together. After seeing this, I am very excited for it. I really cannot wait to dig into the game when it comes out...... and take control of a goblin glider.

Some Dirt from GenCon.... Updated

"US Customs turned back all of the Games Workshop folks. Someone mentioned 'working a convention' and they didn't have work visas"

While the source is solid, I have no additional information or confirmations. I would imagine it was figured out, and the GW guys got there.

Things like this happen, its called.... life.

What's On Your Table: Necron Ark and Guass Immortals

There is a lot of What's On Your Table coming this weekend and over the next week. Why?... simply because I have a lot here that has been backlogged for way too long, and its time to get a lot of this great work up.

These Necrons are amazing.....

New Dropzone Commander Models Revealed!!!

GenCon is under way now... at least for those that can get in and get an early look. Already images of the new models from Hawk Wargames for Dropzone Commander are hitting the internet. The new Scourge Screamer and its very large dropship the Raider are shown, as well as some famous commanders, like the UCM's Wade, or the Cain for the PHR.

Teaser for Things to Come.

The Age of Sigmar releases continue, and the forces of Khorne are next. Lady Atia has once again laid things out as she knows it, and here is a teaser for the next few weeks.

Building a DZC Army on a Budget

Besides discovering that a game looks great and plays well, the next thing any new player to a gaming system asks.... How much is it going to cost me? While all tabletop games have relative high cost to them, Dropzone Commander can be bought into for a reasonable price. Just how?, well that is the subject of this week's DzC Commentor article.

Next Week's Hints: Blood Flows, the Devourer Arrives

Next week looks to be a week full of Khorne, as we move into the second half of the Age of Sigmar Launches. While this doesn't say exactly what we will get yet, I am sure that we will be on top of the information as it comes out. Here is the latest on Games Workshop releases.

Paladins: Leaked Images are Up for the New Age of Sigmar Releases

The latest images of the new Paladin models and Warscrolls are out now. They are in German, but Gametrust also sent us a brief translation of each of the new Paladin types. Retributors, Decimators, and Protectors are all ready to roll, and up for pre-orders this weekend.

New Forgeworld Mail Order Store.... this Summer!

Something is going on, buried in the financial report that was just released is a bit on a new "Forgeworld Mail Order Store.... on the same platform as the Citadel mail order store." Interesting to see what this ends up being. With the new 30k rumors suggesting a new line, past rumors seem to be coming to light with Forgeworld products.

What's On Your Table: Black Templar

Up tonight for What's On Your Table is a custom Black Templar model that Brother Markus has been working on.

What's On Your Table is for all levels.... from pro to just putting together your first models. We want to see your work.

Games Workshop Financials are Out

This report looks rather flat with some ups and downs in Games Workshop's most recent financial report. These are not something I am qualified to delve into, so my opinions are from a rather lay person when it comes to financials. My only concern ever on these is that the company is not going under, which is not going to happen in the near to long term, so I'm good. For those of you that like to delve into this kind of stuff.. well here it is.

The Future of 40k, AoS, and the Horus Heresy

Continuing the conversation by Hastings yesterday, he has since commented on 40k, and whether or not it will get the AoS treatment, the Horus Heresy and the rumored Standalone game that is on the horizon. Personally I know that there will be changes coming in the future.... there always is.

A Notice About the Realmgates: GW Responds

The Age of Sigmar has released several great terrain pieces, and I am hoping that this trend continues. The one problem that concerns so many of us hobbyist involved in Games Workshop products are the Void Shield mess that still burns in recent memories. Are the new Age of Sigmar products going to be limited edition?

What's On Your Table: Alaitoc Wraithknight

A year long project, but finally completed is Chris's Alaitoc Wraithknight. Welcome back to the What's On Your Table Series with some images of what the community here on Faeit 212 is working on.

What's On Your Table is for all levels.... from pro to just putting together your first models. We want to see your work.

The Strength of the Hobby

Lafayette, Louisiana last week was the location of a violent attack at a movie theater. While the news literally has already blown through its coverage of the event and has moved on, what sticks around is the effects of the violence on the people that live there. I have been talking to one such person behind the scenes, and he wanted to share some of his thoughts about what this hobby literally means for him, and the gamers of Lafayette.

New Battalion Warscrolls Available on the Age of Sigmar App

It looks like two new Warscrolls are available now for the Skaven and the High Elves based around the Island of Blood. These free updates are excellent, as the game starts to expand with new Warscrolls that are simply free downloads.

This Week's Releases Confirmed with Prices

There is some excellent terrain models coming this week, along with some repacks and AoS Paladins. Now we have pricing for them, as well as a solid confirmation for the releases. Those terrain pieces for what they are on my list.... and from the looks of it, not a limited release.... (the crowd goes wild with cheers!)

The Death of the Codex?

A thread on Warseer brought up that Codices would be dead in 2 years for Warhammer 40k, and a lot of panic has happened because of it and who said it. Since the article was about what Hastings has been talking about, I thought it appropriate to post up his responses to this (since rumors tend to get misconstrued the more they are told)

Forgeworld: Mechanicum and Vehicle Upgrades Seen

Today's newsletter from Forgeworld today features a good selection of new Mechanicum and vehicle upgrades coming. There is a good chance we will see these at upcoming shows, and this is a good start for it. The Mechanicum releases are just fantastic from Forgeworld.

Loads of Leaked Images- Releases This Week!!! Paladins, Slyvaneth, and More!

Much better than a bases release week, this week is loaded. Of course we know it starts off with Paladins, but from there it steps up and with some terrain, Slyvaneth, and More.

What's On Your Table: Relic Contemptor Dreadnought

What's On Your Table is coming back to the main site here on Faeit 212. There are additional changes coming soon, and the Faeit 212 Community site will continue to focus on as a self publishing site for others that are looking for the exposure and tie in to the community here.

It will take some time for me to get caught up on the Faeit 212 What's On Your Table, but first up tonight are some pictures of a Relic Contemptor Dreadnought for the Red Scorpions.

Leaked Images: Plastic Horus Heresy Models!!! 30k Breaks!

It appears that the rumored 30k plastic may be breaking. There are leaks of these models on sprues now floating around. Just wow, I am hoping that we start to see more.... Open the floodgates!!!!!

Dropfleet Plastics/ Resin

Dropfleet Commander is just killing me, that I have so little information on.... and the big news is dropping at GenCon. In the meantime, I have learned that the Dropfleet Strike Carrier that is at conventions and available is not the model that will be available when the game is released.

New Enhanced Digital Editions for the Iphone.

The Enhanced Digital Edition Codices just got one step better....... available for iphones! A new smaller screens with full features of the enhanced versions, and all you have to do is update your iphone iOS, and then update for free any enhanced versions of the codices you already own. I prefer the enhanced versions, so this is great news for me personally.

Forgeworld Products To Hit Stores in November

There has been this rumor circulating around now for a long time, but never with a date on it that I can recall. There is the rumor still of the Horus Heresy stand along game and 30k plastic range that keeps surfacing, and perhaps all of this ties in together sometime this fall.

Judicator Are Up for Pre-Orders...... And Tyranids!?

As an odd release today a set of bundles for Tyranids are up for pre-orders alongside the anticipated Stormcast Eternal Judicators. Lets take a look at what is up for pre-orders today.

New Models Revealed in AoS, Additional Heroes and More

The Age of Sigmar book has a lot to check out, and in it are pictures that reveal what the following weeks may have in store for us. Check out the latest pics and see what is coming down the line.

The Crimson Apostle and Ultramarines Invictarus Suzerain Sqsuads

Always a fan of the Word Bearers ever since reading the First Heretic by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, this week's pre-orders include Zardu Layak, the Crimson Apostle, and Ultramarines Invictarus Suzerain Squads. Definitely a solid release this week from Forgeworld.

Dropfleet Commander: "That Might Be a Spaceship"

Today Hawk Wargames put out a teaser image of an upcoming Scourge model (the one above). I had assumed that this is a teaser image of a new Scourge Dropzone Commander model, possibly the Cavebreaker Famous Commander that is coming. I was wrong...........

Talking Points

Alright, time to chime in.

With Games Workshop's release of the Age of Sigmar, the community is talking about the lack of point values in the new game and it's reliance upon Warscrolls. Rightfully so in my opinion, as this is a new concept, and quite controversial at the moment. Most games have points, or a cost to field a unit, and its hard to come up with a solid reason for abandoning a point value system.

Dropzone Commander New Pre-Orders!!!!! Surprise Book Release

Hawk Wargames has a full pre-order list today for Dropzone Commander that includes a special edition rulebook, plus a new model release for each faction including the Resistance!! Not only do we have new pre-orders up, but we are also expecting new rules coming out very soon for the model releases hopefully this weekend, but definitely here by release day next weekend.

Age of Sigmar: What's the Point?

rage-of-sigmar

Hey everyone, it's Adam from TheDiceAbide.com, and time for an opinion article! I haven't done one of these in a while, so this will be fun. Right now, the internet is all ablaze with righteous indignation in response to the gall that Games Workshop should try something new to revive a good game that had abysmal sales. It seems that everyone agrees that something had to be done, just a lot of people aren't particularly pleased with totally changing the game.

Age of Sigmar App Now on Andriod

Games Workshop now has the Age of Sigmar app available for free for Android users. I still recall when only one platform was available back in the day and this is a step forward again to get this available for more hobbyists that are wanting to use it.

The Renegades & Heretics Answers

Armies get out of date quickly with release schedules like we have seen for Warhammer 40k during the first part of this year. With the releases for 40k very much dead in the water right now, updates from Forgeworld should have a chance to catch up with armies like Renegades and Heretics. Here are some answers from Forgeworld on some of the questions they are working on now.

Choosing a DzC Force, Part 5: The Resistance

Now all the current factions for the Dropzone Commander have been talked about with the release of the latest article from Dropzone Commentor. If you are new or even a veteran of this game, its worth checking out this series, as it highlights a lot on each factions strengths and weaknesses for the game. Each faction has a link now, so that you can check out each article and really decide where your interests lay.

White Dwarf Pics Leaked: Forces of Death

This weekend's White Dwarf is leaked onto Twitter tonight, as we get a good look at the new Stormcast Eternals. Holy cow that Thunderbolt Crossbow is massive!!!! Also shown are two unreleased Hero models for the Stormcast Eternals. So it definitely looks like we will see a solid one more week before heading over to the dark side with Khorne.

the two page spread of the Warlord Titan is also very cool to check out in the leaked images.

Games Workshop Asks for Feedback

Games Workshop has pushed itself into a a different realm with the Age of Sigmar, and now is willing to go one step further publicly, asking for feedback on the new Age of Sigmar App. The Warhammer Age of Sigmar app already has some cool features, like "My Battle" which grabs the Warscrolls you are going to be playing with by simply selecting them and having them all in one place.

Next Week's Releases- Paladins

Stormcast Paladins are what is apparently in line for next week. Its one release/week at this point until Khorne Age of Sigmar releases start. I'd imagine its going to be single releases then as well.

Older Dataslates Getting Updated- Space Marines/ Dark Angels

There are many dataslates that have been released in the past that are not currently up to date with the latest Space Marine codex and of course, Dark Angels. The question comes... will these be updated to the new codices? Here is the Black Library's response to the question.

Hints for Next Week's Releases

Next week releases are expected to be a final week for the Stormcast Eternals in the Age of Sigmar. After that.... well its all Khrone once again for AoS. So what is on the list for next week?

Time for Tzeentch? Upcoming Future Releases

This month appears that it will wrap up the Stormcast Eternals and next month will be all Khorne for the Age of Sigmar. Following that though, it seems like things will get a little more interesting. I honestly can't wait to get back to 40k (still a diehard fan), and Tzeentch releases seem like a good place to go for them. Lets take a look at the latest.

Space Marines Psychic Powers

Space Marines psychic powers getting you down with the digital version of the codex saying one thing, and the paper version saying something else? Well lets get it straightened out.

The question is this.... The Space Marine codex allows Marines to use daemonic powers, but the digital version only allows Santic powers. Which is it? GW answers.

Judicators Warscroll

Judicators are on the pre-order schedule for this week (and thats really it), and the rules are already available. The Warhammer Age of Sigmar app on my iphone shows them right now, and readers are sending in images that they also have grabbed off of the app. So here they are for those of you that still have not yet seen the rules for the new pre-orders. I do like the model.
