via Voices in the Trees from Larry Vela on Bols
– New Kroot miniatures have been physically sighted in various staged of the development process
– Multiple new kits are coming in what looks like a “full army (aka Harlequin sized) release.
– Many of the units from the old Kroot mercenaries list will reappear.
– The army will receive at least one large centerpiece kit that hails from the Kroot homeworld of Pech
– This new army is believed to be scheduled well past 9th Edition, so look for it at the very end of this year, or shortly thereafter.

Great Unclean One

I got a good piece of news from a friend who works out of GW in Nottingham, He claims "new GUO coming in a month, maybe 6 weeks. Its a much much bigger model, posed in a similar fashion to the FW one but seems to have Nurglings spread around the base and guts. Theres some head variations too.

Despite all these wonderful rumor releases it would seem the next 40k campaign has been forgotten.. it will be a summer kick off just like stormclaw/red waaggh was..

the only thing i can confirm for 40k is a new imperial supplement. codex but i haven't been told one way or the other if it will be called skitarri.

http://natfka.blogspot.com/2015/02/new-infantry-commanders-and-future-of.html

April- This will be exciting, as we are looking at the first wave of new infantry/small vehicles. I will have details on these units later (Im sorting through 3 pages of notes). Some of these were seen in early concept artwork at recent shows.

May- Wave 2 of infantry/small vehicles for each faction

June- This will be the second wave of Famous Commanders including all of them that were not released the first time around.

July- Wave 3 of infantry/small vehicles for each faction

and now for the biggiee..............
Reconquest Phase 2 will be released later this year!!!!!

This will include all the new units, as well as rules for the new scenery sets.

DzC New Units
UCM- Infantry
-2 power suit variants; one anti-tank and the other anti-air. These are like mortar teams.
-The third one takes a unique position of a Heavy Choice with Heavy Railguns. Think 2, 3 man squads
I may have some things mis-interpreted here regarding the UCM. My notes got a little jumbled here. There are three new infantry units though, and the Heavy Infantry choice with Heavy Railguns is in there.

PHR- Infantry
-A specialized ultra elite 1 man infantry base who commands drones. Apparently the models are very dynamic and there was some excitement over this one. These guys specialize in clearing buildings.
-This one is based off the immortal longreach rifle. Instead of 1 longreach rifle per base, this squad will have 5 longreach rifles per base. With shaped charges and a 24" range vs counter measures, these guys will be very cool.
-the last one is a jump/jet pack unit. These guys are not as good as sirens, but come with twin guns, and the ability to jump across streets from one building to the other.

Shaltari- Infantry/Vehicles
-Specialists heavy warsuits that are too big to go into buildings. 2x the size of normal warsuits and are considered small vehicles. There are two variants of this model, a flamer based one, and an anti-tank version.
-a new slave race that will be a cheap infantry choice for Shaltari. They are not as strong as the standard shaltari infantry, but come cheap, but must be taken in squads of 4 bases. The cool things about these guys is they have been retrofitted with teleportation devices and shoulder mounted guns.

Scourge-infantry
-Flying creatures (the dragon like things we saw in the concept art), are small flying like prowlers. Meaning they are move quickly and have a CC anti-air attack. They come 8 to a blister.
-Ground Based Creature that is ravager sized. It was 2-3 per blister on this.
-CC Destroyer that sound devastating in CQB. It will be interesting to not have the guns that I so much very like, and instead rely upon their Close Quarter fighting.

Resistance- I believe there are supposed to be 3, but only two were in my notes. Either I missed this one or we skimmed over it during the conversation.
-Quad Bikes that are small vehicles for scouting.

-Small vehicle armed with grenade launchers.

Warhammer Fantasy

Warhammer Fantasy 9th Edition
via 75hastings69 on Warseer
You know I'm not actually sure it is that depressing, as it is WFB doesn't sell well enough to be supported in its current format, that much is proven by the need to change it, so the options are, they keep WFB as is and run it into the ground and it dies, every army is squatted as well as future support/releases etc.

OR we change it in the chance of keeping it alive, even if it's not how people recognise it now, it might work, it might be great, but it buys WFB time, time to turn itself around, perhaps start a new fan base, perhaps grow into something better, but it's a chance. So what if army X or Y doesn't get new models for a while, they might do in the future if things work out. I'm not sure how WFB will pan out, I'm really not, but I truly don't believe it's as bad as everyone thinks.

I'll be honest and tell you I know VERY little about new WFB, but what I've heard is that you'll still be able to play massed battles, you'll also be able to play skirmish level games, you'll still be able to use your existing models, the basing probably wont matter that much, you'll also get a load of new models, and probably a bunch of other stuff too, compared to the DEATH of WFB I think it's the best option.

WFB 9th Box & Armies
The results of the End Times will be directly reflected in the armies included in 9th Edition
Boxed Set:

Will include good guys (the Forces of Light) versus Chaos – in a loose fashion.

The Boxed Set is set in a former city of the Empire (save your breathe, it’s NOT Mordheim), but luckily the End Times offers up plenty of new choices.

Boxed Set includes a campaign at a skirmish level and is firmly designed to introduce new players into the game at this smaller model-count level.

Look for an increased focus on “Heroes & Characters”, even at the skirmish level of the game.

WFB 9th will kick off a new set of products that cover not only the new surviving factions, but new modular terrain pieces that support the game at all size levels and reflect the new “Post End-Times” world.
