There is a new possible leak, which is showing what is probably plastic Steel Legions on a new box. This is rather exciting as plastic Steel Legions means more and more of us are going to be digging into this cool gas mask and trench coat guardsmen.

Tyranid Limited Edition Cover Leaks:

The Tyranid Limited Edition artwork has leaked into the forums and now throughout the internet, and while some people are still claiming these are not them, its time to get over themselves. These are the leaks, even though its with some existing artwork. I have had more than one reliable source confirm that these are them, and I have included a portion of that email in this rumor bit.

Kill Team Games

Late night after the Revenant Titan battle, there were three of us still hanging out and Kill Team seemed like the perfect game for three of us to hit the tables with. So yes, we played a free for all 3 player game of kill team. In fact, after the first, we quickly put together new lists, and got in a second game.

Memphis Battle Bunker Event: Forgeworld, Stronghold Assault and Escalation

It seems that Games Workshop events are starting to allow much more at their events. From the Throne of Skulls allowing Escalation and Stronghold Assault, and now word that the Memphis Battle Bunker has a large even coming in June that will be allowing it all, including Forgeworld.

Tyranid Pricing Information for January

Even though we have had the pricing for a bit now on new releases, this is a list that apparently includes everything for Tyranids. I went back and checked this against or prices for the new releases, and it all seems to match up. This of course includes not only new releases, but everything for Tyranids.

Facing the Revenant: A Battle Report

The game has come and gone, and it was a wild game with massive destroyer weapons obliterating units, regenerating void shields creating a thin veil of life and death, a deadly flyer dual, and in the end, the game was a blow out and called after 4 rounds. The Revenant Titan threw down its blasts and often Vaporized what it shot at as it maintained a distance away from a majority of my closer ranged firepower to bring it down. Literally in a single round, my long ranged Titan killing firepower was neutralized and vanquished.

Faeit's Tarot: 7th Edition, Release Schedules, and More

Christmas was here, and with it came a bombshell of a rumor from 40k radio, that 7th edition 40k would come in 2014. It was a kind of stop the press moment, as we are not that far into 6th edition. Of course I had to send off a bunch of emails to sources that might have some more information as to what might be going on. Apparently there is a lot going on right now.

Blood Angels and Necrons: Mysterious Sightings?

Sometimes I don't know where to classify some rumors that come our way, or even what they are for, this is one of those. While this could mean very little or for something a long ways out, I figured it was worth sharing.

7th Edition 40k and Warhammer Fantsy 9th Edition Rumors

Of course we will start to hear conflicting rumors from different parts of the world and community. So these are a couple bits of rumors that are floating around regarding a possible new rulebook release and Warhammer Fantasy.

Uniting The Community with a new BRB

A new edition coming in 2014 is quite literally a hard thing to swallow, and yet the rumor is here. The rumor comes from credible source, and is very logical if taken in certain context.

The Scourge

Dropzone Commander has a lot of new models coming in the first quarter of 2014, and I fully expect a new game expansion next year as well bringing with it the Resistence. So along those lines, I have more pictures now of my models that are at Blue Table Painting getting done.

Global Campaign: Eye of Terror

I recall back in third edition there was a global campaign for 40k for Armageddon. I participated in it some, and it was a lot of fun. It looks like a new campaign, one for the Eye of Terror may be coming to us very soon, and I think it would be a welcome event.

7th Edition: Currently As It Stands

By now rumors of a new 40k edition have reached just about everyone. As it stands now, we have heard that 7th edition is coming sometime between July and September, and is currently under playtesting. The ideas behind the new edition, are to literally pull all the rules together, including Escalation and Stronghold Assualt, and to balance out some key areas of 6th edition.

Valhalla Announcement

The dates for Valhalla are set next year, and its time to start scheduling your life around it. Its the one event that I hope I am lucky enough to go to again this coming year. Its a great time, and it is the one event that you will remember year after year. Its unlike anything you have been to previously, a true gamers paradise.

The Revenant Titan: Tomorrow Evening.

It cannot be beaten, even with armies designed to take it down. It's nigh unbeatable, a huge massive eldar titan with holo fields and a 36" movement. Its lances shoot an incredible total of 4 destroyer weapon shots and obliterates anything in its path.

Can it be on the table and the outcome of the battle not already pre-determined?

Tournaments: The Problems of Escalation and More.

There is a problem in the community right now, and that is many people are wanting to force Tournaments to open up and accept everything that Games Workshop has to throw at them. Escalation and the introduction of D-Weapons has hit the community like a giant rock in the side of the head, and we are all still figuring it out.

Valhallan Imperial Guard: The Sad News

Valhalla Imperial Guard, specifically the Command Squad, are no longer available and have been discontinued. Its quite sad really, and I am going to imagine that once the final stock of troops are gone, they are going to follow suit. There are only 33 left in stock.

Tyranid Questions Answered

We had a decent sized set of Tyranid rumors yesterday that looked a little off from leaked images and information we have received so far about Tyranids. I am looking forward to getting something solid about this coming release, but for right now, we are going to take a closer look at yesterday's rumors and compare with what is known.

A hole bunch of rumors have surfaced, and they go into a lot of details on the new Tyranid codex that is due out very soon. A lot of these look excellent, and some even may match up with what we have seen in the White Dwarf leaks.

Dropzone Commander Reveals its Schedule and More

Hawk Wargames has wrapped up its December Advent Calendar with a large number of releases for all the current factions for Dropzone Commander. It was quite the ride with a lot of excellent previews of models that are coming over the next few months. Today we have the release schedule and more details on the new releases.

7th Edition 40k: Not 6.5

Of course with rumors of a new edition, I just had to see if there was anything else we could learn. The response is looking fantastic, and much more than I thought a new edition might be.

Lord of the Fallen

Forget an Inquisition detachment, there is a new man in town. Cypher is really one of the most phenomenal characters we have seen yet. He can be played by a large number of armies, his point cost is not that bad, and he gives you tons of special abilities that work well with your armies.

40k 7th Edition Coming 2014: Fantasy 9th Edition Shelved.

This rumor sounds a little far out of place, but who knows, as it comes from reliable sources. So lets delve into this, and start thinking what if this is happening. It would definitely throw the game for a big loop, since this is not something we are expecting to happen for quite some time.

Cypher Lord of the Fallen: A First Look

Cypher Lord of the Fallen has just been released digitally by Games Workshop Digital as the finale of the our December Advent calendar. There is more to this dataslate than we first thought, as it is the largest of any of the dataslates we have seen, comes with a tremendous amount of background, and allows you to play Cypher alone as part of your primary detachment, or as a formation leading the fallen into battle.

Cypher, Who and What is He?

Cypher is a character that I remember seeing from time to time, and it was one of a good friend of mine's favorite character. Not that he was some hotshot special character that dominated the table, but because of who he was. His background intrigued his fans, not his rules.

The Bell of Lost Souls put out a release order today, and for the most part it lines up with what we have been hearing. Until recently anyhow.

Kharybdis Assault Claw and Legion Basilisk

Kharybdis Assault Claw and Legion Basilisk are coming soon, to be released on January 3rd from Forgeworld. The Kharybdis is a massive drop pod, while the Legion basilisks brings heavy artillery to the legions.

The Revenant Titan Approaches

The Eldar Revenant Titan is nigh unbeatable. It cannot be destroyed and kills all that face it, single handedly wiping any army it faces on the field. Or does it?

We bring only death, and leave only carrion. It is a message even a Human can understand.

Shaltari Anti-Air Walker Preview

The Shaltari have a new revealed unit today, a support anti-air walker. This one fits the shaltari well, as I can see players fielding more and more shaltari walkers. I will be curious to see how the new units vary from existing, and how they will interact on the gaming table.

Forgeworld PDF Updates

If you missed it already, Forgeworld has updated several of armies including Imperial Armour 2 with some very interesting updates for both the Sisters of Battle and codex Inquisition. Of course codex Inquisition is the one that I am most interested in, and it allows an additional foc slot for an Inquisition detachment along the lines of a fast attack slot.

December Releases Are Hot

More than anything, the above image says it all. Dark Age Miniatures is once again releasing some must have models in my collection. The problem is that I can't play all the factions, but the Greater Fire Elemental is just plain awesome. Once Christmas is over in a few days, I will be looking at what Dark Age models I need to get back into the game more.

Talking Dropzone Commander

I have been talking about this game since I was introduced to it. The game itself is written and designed by David Lewis. He also has sculpted all the models as well, and in my last conversation with Hawk Wargames, Dave is locked away right now working on new models for the game.

Escalation and Stronghold Assault BattleReport

Last night there was a straight out of the books Escalation and Stronghold Assault game. My opponent was facing me down to with dual Mauler Fiends, Heldrakes and a Khorne Lord of Skulls, while I fielded the dreaded Hell Hammer with an Macro-Cannon Aquila Strongpoint and Void Shield Generators.
