Games Workshop Digital Hint:...... Tzeentch's Great Plan

Games Workshop Digital Editions and the Black Library are going to have a full 25 days til Christmas, with two new titles released every day. We can only hope that it all starts with a bang, and Eddie over on the GW Digital facebook has given us a hint to one of the first releases of December. Tzeentch.

Lorgar's Release Imminent

The Primarch of the Word Bearers, Lorgar is about to be released to us here very shortly, and will be up for sale among staff this coming week, according to the latest rumors for Forgeworld.

Chaos Codex Supplements: February Tzeentch

There had been rumors of a combined Chaos Gods codex now for some time, and the rumors had always pointed to Tzeentch being done first sometime next year, possibly June or July. This morning we have a bit that moves that timeline up, and answers some of the investigative questions regarding the Nurgle and Khorne leaks we have been seen.

Escalation and Stronghold Assault Are Up For Pre-Orders

Both game expansions, Stronghold Assault and Escalation are now up for Pre-Orders on the Games Workshop site for a release on Dec 7th. At the same time, digital releases for the ipad, ebooks, and other media are also up for pre-orders.

The image above is a released image from the Black Library for Escalation

Stronghold Assault: Something for Everyone?

Stronghold Assault is very likely to be popular among the community when its released, as fortifications can practically be used by any army. This will make it a good seller, and something that many of us will want. I do hope that it is planned to release the codex digitally, but nothing has been said about it that yet.

Will Stronghold Assault be a game changer? After all its a $33 codex that can add so much to existing armies. While I have not seen any xenos upgrades, we should find out here shortly if there are any, hopefully tomorrow, as they are available for pre-orders then.

Nurgle Codex Supplement Cover Seen

Following the Khorne codex cover leak we had a week ago, there is now a Nurgle Image up on the 4chan showing a Nurgle cover with a few new rules and kit rumors.

IA 2 Now Available in Limited Quantities

Imperial Armour 2: War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes is now available in limited quantities on the Forgeworld Site. The book will have a general release in "early 2014", which does not even guarantee January. So if you are contemplating this book, now would be a good time to get it, which may be more than a month early from everyone else.

This Images is Cool, and Happy Thanksgiving.

The Black Library releases some of the best images for the Warhammer Universe, and these are no exception. Today is  Holiday here in the US, so by now, most of us here are eating Turkey, visiting with family, and having a good time.

The Hobbit Miniatures Revealed: Where is Smaug?

The movie the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug comes out on December 13th. Alongside that this next month we will be seeing new miniatures released by Games Workshop and a new expansion book for the game, the Hobbit, an unexpected journey.

Some Details on December Releases

There is a lot of talk about this month's releases, from the Desolation of Smaug, the Ultima Space Marine Edition, Escaltion, and Stronghold. This goes into more about next month's releases, including mentioning of a lot of digital releases, and Forgeworld's Imperial Armour 2.

Limited Editions and the Hatred of Them

Limited Editions and other various collectors releases have been very prominent in 6th edition, as is the vocal outcry of foul among many in our community. Everytime there is one, there is always a plethora of commenters decrying corporate greed as the driving force behind these releases.

This hatred of Limited Edition releases baffles me, and I fail to see any real logical reason for the venom spewed everytime a limited edition version is announced.

Signmar's Blood: December Release

Sigmar's Blood is a December release coming for Warhammer Fantasy that will be up for Pre-Orders this weekend with a release date of December 7th. Exactly what is it?

Space Marine Ultima Edition: December Release

A new Space Marine limited edition release is coming, and for collectors out there interested, I figured it was time to look at what it was.

D-Weapon Rules for 40k

Escalation is just a few short weeks from arriving, and one of the biggest questions of course is D-Weapons. What are the rules going to be for them? If they are the same as they are for Apocalypse, then there could be some serious issues. The same can be said for hull points etc, but this rumor specifically addresses Destroyer Weapons in 40k.

Pictures from the December White Dwarf are Circulating

December's White Dwarf has apparently been received by someone, and the images are out now floating around the internet. Someone always gets their copy in the mail early. There is a lot of Hobbit, Escalation, and Stronghold Assault among the pictures leaked. Of course the rumor we had last week or so, describing the cover of the magazine looks accurate.

Grey Knights, Deathwatch, and Adepta Sororitas

The Inquisition has brought about an odd scenario, where the same units, and in this case the same character, are duplicated between codices. While we have been told that these duplication's right now do not invalidate each other, there are some longer term implications for these.

What will happen to Grey Knights? Adepta Sororitas? And will Deathwatch somehow be involved?

A Sneak Peak at a New Digital Release for December

"This time from another piece of artwork of the same character’s hand".

This is a second sneak peak of one of the new digital products coming in December from Black Library Digital. Really, even with the other sneak peak, I have no idea what it is. So lets begin the guessing game today!

Harlequin Models and Possible Mini-Dex

This morning we were talking about the idea of mini-dex's, their origins, development, and finally what they may end up like in the future. Here is some information that may eventually tie into something in the future regarding Harlequin models and a possible mini-dex.

Mini-Codex's in Our Future, and Their Past

About a year or so ago, we spent a considerable amount of time talking about mini-codices that were playable and yet, did not use up a full Foc. These codices were in fact designed to be allied codex's. Now that we have one of these codices, the Inquisition, what could that mean for the future of what is to come?

Tyranids Getting Closer?

Now that we have an idea of what the first half of December is going to look like, there are a lot of people just dying for a Tyranid update. That counts me in as well. Tyranids are just one of those iconic armies, that most of us feel needed to be better on the tabletop in 6th edition. So where do we stand?

Inquisitors Solomon Lok and Inquisitor Rex Updates.

With the latest Inquisition codex there are questions as to updates for the Forgeworld Inquisitors Solomon Lok and Inquisitor Rex. Both of these are beautiful models that I like quite a bit, having had the chance to see them first hand on several occasions. So will there be an update coming?

Eye of Terror: Digital Release

From the Index Chaotica series from the Black Library comes the Eye of Terror digital release. I have been very interested in this series, but have yet taken the plunge to check them out. This however may end up being my first of the small miscellaneous digital releases.

New 40k Game Expansions Are Coming: What Are They?

Escalation and Stronghold Assault are coming out for pre-orders on Nov 30th and being released on December 7th. Since its been three weeks here on this site since we were first discussing it, I figured we would take a look at what we know.

December Releases Revealed

Here is a list of December releases, and the first thing that catches my eye is that both Escalation and Stronghold assault are listed as codex's. Time to pick up some Baneblades and fortifications.

Games Workshop Video Teaser:Escalation and Stronghold Assault

Escalation and Stronghold Assault are coming up for Pre-Orders on November 30th. Super Heavies and Combined Fortifications are right around the corner. Nothing will ever be the same, as regular 40k is about to get much more dangerous on the table top.

Superheavies Mentioned in Non Apoc Mission in Clan Raukaan

Escalation is right around the corner and Thunderhawk Gunships and other super heavies and gargantuan creatures are right around the corner ready to alter our game forever. Now you can see the first evidence of this release even before the White Dwarf is released.

Limited Pre-Orders: Imperial Armour 2: Space Marines and Forces of the Inquisition

This weekend at Warhammer World Imperial Armour 2 was apparently made available for pre-orders and some people there got a chance to look at it. This is one of those accounts.

Imperial Armour 2 will be huge and is said to include many of the 40k stamps of approval in the listings for both Space Marines and the Inquisition. There is even the Repressor for the Adeptas Sororitas.

The End of Battalions and Battle Forces

With the last few releases we have seen battle forces kind of slip away for more themed larger bundles. This trend appears that it will continue and the old Battle Forces are going to vanish with what ever is left in stock at your local stores. So if you are wanting one its time to pick it up before its gone.

The Imperial Guard "Steel Legion" and "Mordians"

The Imperial Guard are rumored to be next after Tyranids early 2014, and hopefully with it, a supplement to feed into the Steel Legions. That would get everyones tank armies moving forward.

This rumor today mentions Steel Legions and Mordians as getting some special treatment soon.

Faeit's Weekly Tarot: Breaking Tyranid News, Escalation, and Stronghold Assault.

Breaking Rumors for December and Tyranids
This week has been a mess of trying to decipher what it is that is going to be happening next month. Today we are getting a bit of information to break through the mess, and reveal what lies ahead.

Digital Problems, Customer Support

I have recently made the change over to digital, and have been very excited and happy with it so far. However, like all good stories, there is a bump in the road, enough to cause some stress and dismay.

The Black Legion Released to Hardback and Chaos Collection

The Black Legion is now available in print form now, either in a standard edition or limited edition hardback. This supplement allows you to play the Black Legion and field Chosen as troops with having to use Abaddon the Despoiler as your HQ. Of course there are other benefits as well like upgrading your terminators.

Tyranids Coming?

I have had a couple emails that I thought I would share on the subject of whether or not Tyranids are actually coming or not in two weeks. Its unusual that things are this much a mess right before a major release. So I am going to leave the subject for the rest of the day and see what else can be discovered.

I might even have to take a nap, but will keep one eye open for lurking Lictors.

Rumor: Cover of White Dwarf.

A rumor this morning is that the cover of White Dwarf displays a Baneblade with Imperial Guard on it. That would look like no Tyranids. Lets take a look at what was said.

The above picture is not the cover.

Tyranids and Smaug

This Tyranid thing is just about killing me. Simply because we had several sources here that have a solid track record saying Tyranids are moving up, mostly due to issues with the Hobbit and more specifically the Smaug model.

Desolation of Smaug Releases

This is interesting as I have been told now that there is a new expansion book for for the Hobbit coming out in December, as well as two highly detailed plastic characters, Legolas and Tauriel. What that leaves us for December and the possible Tyranids, I do not know, but not all of this would normally fit into December.

Clan Raukaan: A First Look

Clan Raukaan is now available as a digital release, and is a Space Marine codex supplement for the Iron Hands third company. As with all First Looks, these are my first impressions of the book.

Inquisition Codex Update: Welcome to the Psymera

While I wait forever for itunes to figure out how to update my codex, it does appear that the update lists Karamazov using his orbital bombardments every turn, and psybolt ammo including to cover assault cannons and heavy bolters. So yes, Psymera's are only a few minutes or hours away (depending on how much I have to fight with this to update).

So yes, heavy bolter in the hull and turret with psybolt ammunition. Add in a storm bolter if you want to go crazy.

Dropzone Commander Official Tournament Pack, and Holiday Specials

Hawk Wargames has released its most recent newsletter which mostly contains information about its upcoming tournament in February, with links to their tournament pack. There are also some new holiday discounts that are coming, so its a great time to get into the game if you have been waiting for a deal.

Khorne Codex Supplement with Cover Art?

There are rumors of a new Khorne Codex supplement and one for Nurgle as well. This one is a little salty but does come with a codex cover which can be traced back to the Deviant Art site by MikhailSavier. This makes the rumor even less likely, but take it for what it is.

Forgeworld Chapter Tactics Updated

The Chapter Tactics and Space Marine Chapter Tactics has been updated from Forgeworld. There are a few changes, but I have not seen anything majory. Of course it looks like the Red Hunters have been updated.

Improved Composition: Finecast

There appears to be a new resin in the works, a way to work through the transitions to plastic. This resin is or will be very similar to Forgeworld resin and will allow some models to be available again. This sounds good to me, as of course I like working with resin.

The Hobby: One Step at a Time

A reader today reminded me of my earlier days paying my way through school, working two jobs, and yet trying to find the time and more importantly money, for gaming. I will be the first to admit, there was a time when nothing was able to be purchased, I simply did not have the funds.

Escalation Being Confirmed, Coming Very Soon

There are more people coming around now with information on one of the two 40k game expansions for regular 40k. The first of course is Stronghold Assault, and the one now being talked about is Escalation. This is the supplement that allows super heavies into the normal game, in a Lord of War slot that each army will have access to.

The Inquisition

There is a lot of the community that does not like the new Inquisition codex. There are some though, like myself, that absolutely love it. Its been since 5th edition that my Inquisition units could ally up with my Imperial Guard..... which is in my opinion where they should be.

9th Edition Armybook Statcards

9th edition Warhammer Fantasy has been a hot topic for all the Warhammer Fantasy fans, and anything new or changes coming will be watched for closely. One such change that is now rumored are statcards.

Another Release Schedule: Dark Eldar?

Another release schedule for 2014 was released today, and I am not going to go too much into it. I will say however that I think the list goes from fairly known and talked about to finally with Dark Eldar.

Inquisition Codex Update Coming.

There is an Inquisition codex update coming. So if there are some concerns they should be made on the digital editions facebook page. Concerning Allies though, it has been said by Eddie that the Inquisition can Ally with itself if the Inquisition is a primary, and an update will be made making it clear.

Other things I hope they clear up, psybolt ammunition, coteaz psyber eagle..... is there anything else?

New Digital Release for December

There is a new Digital release coming for December, and Games Workshop Digital Editions has given us a teaser hint to look a. (the image above). What do you think it is?
https://www.facebook.com/GamesWorkshopDigitalEditions

The Answer: Forgeworld Approved Models in Regular 40k

This very much gives Forgeworld models the same level of "official" as does any other product GW releases for Warhammer 40k. In fact this goes so far to say its as official as the Tau codex is for games.

Our units are official Warhammer 40,000 units. If someone does not wish to play against our units, as they may not wish to play against a Codex:Tau Empire Army for example, that is their decision.

Check out the rest of this below.
