Tyranids are not that far away now, as they are rumored to be available for pre-orders at the end of December. December Release: Warhammer Fantasy Supplement

So I bet you were concerned that we had no rumors for Warhammer Fantasy in December. Well we have one, Sigmar's Blood. Its looks like a story driven supplement to recreate a famous series of battles, where Volkmar the Grim invades Sylvania to battle Mannfred Von Carstein.

New Surprise Releases for December: Game Expansions for 40k

Yea, I know technically its still October (the 31st), but December is going to be uniquely exciting. There are going to be not only one new 40k expansion, but 2. These are giving us some new unique options for regular games of 40k. Yes, these are for standard games of 40k.

Forgeworld Becomes Official for Warhammer 40k

Forgeworld books for Warhammer 40k have previously said, "while this should be considered official, check with your opponent". This is about to change, and fundamentally alter how or what we are going to be seeing in our games. Like allies and double force organization, I am sure there will be resistance, but when this happens the game will fundamentally be changed and opened up for Forgeworld rules and models.

Codex Inquisition Cover Revealed

The Inquisition, and What it Means

Today Games Workshop announced that codex Inquisition will be released sometime next month (November). There was very little lead in or expectations that this was coming, with the exception of a hint from Forgeworld's latest Chapter Tactics updates for Space Marines. 

So what will the Inquisition be? Will it replace the Inquisition's current location in the Grey Knight codex? Will they be allies, or something new all together?

Codex Inquisition: November Release Announced!!!!

This November Codex: Inquisition will be released digitally (and I hope a print version). It will be a full codex to allow you to field an Inquisitor and their retinue in any Imperial Army for 40k!!!!!

When Will IA 11 Be Updated? Answers from Forgeworld

Have a Corsair list from Imperial Armour 11 that you want updated to 6th edition? Well, it  looks like everyone will have wait a little while longer. Forgeworld has a lot on its plate right now, and they are very upfront about when they will be updating their books. Below is Forgeworld's response to the question.

GCT Studios Site Back Up, New Model Reveal

The website for GCT studios has been down for several days, and this morning they are finally back up. To make up for the site being down, they are revealing a new model for the next upcoming wave of releases.

A Closer Look at These Miniature Cases

When I first did the review on these cases, the question came up several times, "Just how much can I fit into these cases". So I was up to the challenge to find out if my Inquistion Mechanized forces would fit into a single Tyrant or Dreadnought case. (they are the same size, the Dreadnought is the armoured reinforced version).

As you can see in the pic above, it can hold a large number of tanks. In fact, I have 10 razorbacks (without turrets in place but inside the vehicles, and 10 chimeras (with turrets along the side). So yes, I was able to fit 20 vehicles, and when it came to infantry models, 72 individual models.

Tyranid-Hunters and Tyranids to Kick off 2014

Tyranids are very much expected to be released January 4th, with pre-orders starting a few days after Christmas on the December 28th. This morning we have another set of rumors this morning that gives us a little bit of direction. I fully expect details to start very soon, as early as sometime next month, but to be in full swing by the second week of December.

Forgeworld Rumors: Ferrus Manus and Iron Hands Squad Release

Forgeworld has a couple new releases coming that were already sold during Games Day UK. The rest of waiting for general releases are finally getting our chances at the new Ferrus Manus model, and possibly the Iron Hands Squad.

Revealing the Future of the 40k Inquisition

There is a burning question going on right now in the community, and that is in regards to what happened to Inquisitors alongside the Sister's of Battle. After all they were present in the Witch Hunters codex, but the Ordos Hereticus is currently is in the 5th edition Grey Knight codex.

Then we come to the second question in regards to last week's Forgeworld Space Marine chapter tactics. Most particular the Red Hunters Space Marine chapter being able to ally with Grey Knights or Sister's of Battle if there is an Inquisitor present. Something obviously is unknown or missing at this particular point, since Adepta Sororitas do not have Inquisitors.

New Releases, Huron Blackheart, Warscythes, and Juggernauts of Khorne

Its Monday, and that means new Digital releases from the Black Library (Games Workshop Digital Editions) are on its way. The three releases today are one of my favorites, Huron Blackheart. Of course who doesn't just love Juggernauts of Khorne.

Faeit's Rumor Tarot: Fortifications

Fortifications as they currently stand, have had very few updates since the onset of 6th edition, only seeing a couple minor box set releases at the time that Apocalypse came out. With that, it stands that the arena is wide open for a book or supplement release to expand 6th edition.

Late Night Board Games

Secret Objectives From Conversion Fanboy

For those that have seen these, and wanted them, they are back in a limited supply now (and look right now to be sold out again). Secret Objectives by Conversion Fanboy... Scott Shoemaker, are fantastic gaming aids for your secret objectives (for Mission 4 the Scouring), or just for your 40k game objective markers. If you have the mysterious objective dice, they can just sit in the center of the objective indicating the result of the mysterious objective.

Where Do You Get Your Space Marines

Space Marines are by far the biggest seller for 40k and always have been. So when you set out to start a new army of these bad boys, where do you get them? What are your options. For someone like me, who is considering doing a space marine army, there are many different ways to go about it.

Full Sized 3D Printing at ASDA (Wal-Mart)

Yes, they can scan anything from the size of a car down, scanning it in about 2 minutes, and then printing out a miniature of it. Of course it costs about £40, and I have not heard of it being done in the states yet. Of course who of us wouldnt want to do a 28mm model of themselves with power armour added. Well, maybe not power armour for myself, but as a Dark Eldar Archon would have some coolness. 

Triumph and Treachery

Triumph & Treachery is now up for Pre-Orders, and it looks beautiful. A 96 page full color, hardcover book. This expansion for Warhammer Fantasy is a new way to hit the tables to get even up to 5 players on the tabletop battling it out. That sounds like a ton of fun. I cannot wait for this level of detail and thought going into the next 40k expansion or campaign.

The Sentinels of Terra Going Live Tonight

The Sentinel of Terra will be going live in a few short hours for a digital download. It is the first of the Space Marine codex supplements, and will be sure to be a big hit for Space Marine players. Privateer Press: New Releases

I tend to get sidetracked, and miss out on some of the new releases that I have interest in, but have not yet fully dived into yet. Warmachine and Hordes are just that, and yesterday they have three new releases for both Mercenaries and the Trollbloods.

The Fate of the Dreadnought

Valhalla: Under Way

Valhalla is currently underway. For those of you that do not know what that means, this is no normal event, or tournament. It is a complete gamers retreat and vacation, with more games and more fun than you may think is possible.

Valhalla is 6 full days of Gamer's Paradise up in the Utah mountains at the largest privately owned lodge in the United States. 36,000 square feet, with a massive gaming area, with games going on of all types throughout. There is a large indoor pool, hot tub, gaming hall, and did I mention, the food is professionally catered, so all you need to bring is your personals and models. Man..... I miss some of the food still. (no joke, it was as shock to my system to get home last time)

FAQ: Farsight Enclaves Get an Errata

Just as the title says, today the Farsight Enclaves received a quick errata on what is going to print I am assuming. That is staying on top of it.

40k Fortification Supplement/Expansion

Fortifications hit 6th edition with a bang upon its release. Instantly Aegis Defense lines were everywhere, and still today we see them in a good percentage of lists. Until now though, updates and new fortifications have been virtually non-existent with the exception of the Apocalypse releases which included some 40k rules in the box.

Games Day Italy: Pictures of Some New Models

Games Day Italy has come and gone, and there were some very spectacular images that have shown up from the event. Army Builder Updates for Space Marines

Army builder has just updated its files to include the latest codex release, Space Marines. Now you still cannot ally with different chapter tactics yet, but that is on its way according to the notes. There are still many of that use this program for our army list building, if for no other reason that its what we have used for years now.

Now list building will come much quicker with this update done.

Fire Raptor and the Horus Heresy Book 2

The Forgeworld Fire Raptor is now up for Pre-Orders to be released at the end of this month. It is a gunship on steroids and if you missed the rules for it, I have a link for you below the break. Its a beautiful model, and one that I am probably going to have break down and get.

The Horus Heresy book 2 Massacre is now available, and up for sale on Forgeworld. Of course there is a number of chapters that are in this new Horus Heresy release, including The Iron Hands, Salamanders, Night Lords, and Word Bearers.

I wanted to officially post up a big thank you to the community here on this site, for really stepping up to the plate in the comments sections. The site comments have been fun and interesting to read lately, with extremely low amounts of back and forth bickering or just internet raging.

New Tyranids Forgeworld Moulds

I received this email last night, and thought it was worth a online response, just to give an idea that while Forgeworld's response doesnt mean anything beyond replacing wear and tear, the timing of it could lend itself to something.

Moulds in this industry have to often be redone, as they do wear. So when we hear of models not available because "it needs work", then that is often the case. The only thing that pulls this out of the ordinary wear and tear on moulds is the timing of it, that Tyranids are rumored to be up for pre-orders at the end of December for a January release.

Updates: Space Marine Chapter Tactics for 6th Edition Forgeworld

The Chapter Tactics have now been updated for all of the Space Marine chapters from Forgeworld, and while many just simply link them to their founding chapter, many others have their own special rules. This helps drastically and will greatly enhance many of the hobbyists out there that enjoy these Forgeworld chapters.

November Bundle Contents

Planning out what you want for Christmas, or just some extra spending for December? Announcing Ruinscape

The latest release from Hawk Wargames is the new Ruinscape Battlefield in a box. This mirrors the Cityscape boxset in that you get 20 buildings, and tiles to fill a full 6'x4' tabletop. What this does is give your urban battlefield a more ruined appearance. While I have not yet seen this release in person yet, I can tell you from the Cityscape boxset, that each building is unique and different, so there are not multiples of the same exact buildings in these sets. The best part, your 6x4 urban tabletop will only cost you $45 USD or £30.00.

Well, here is the full list of November releases, and I don't see any Tempestus Firebases on it. Perhaps it is going to be a December bundle deal, or the rumor is bust. Hard to say at the moment.

In the meantime, you can see the pricing for your 2nd wave of Dark Elves, Triumph and Treachery, and more. Of course the biggest bit for me is that the Black Legion will get its hardcover version towards the later end of the month. Exciting!!!!!

Tempestus Firebase Bundle

One of the new releases coming out that has been little talked about, is what is looking like a very smart bundle of scenery/ fortifications that is coming out. It consists of 1 Aquila Strongpoint, 2 Firestorm Redoubts, 1 Vengeance Weapons Battery, and 1 Imperial Defence Emplacement. While I only currently have the price at $270AUD, for some reason I could not find it in US dollars (no one seems to be talking about it)

Presence of Faeit: Taudar Battle Brief, Vendetta Folley, Site Work Going On.

Once again on recovery mode after a more games that I hosted over Saturday night. Two tables set up with 40k games of 1850pts went on all night. Of course there was some tough games, some blow outs, and one of the toughest games I have been involved with ever.
