It's Official: Death From the Skies Details
OK readers, its now official. I have the information for what will be in Death from the Skies and of course I am sharing all of it that I am allowed to. Here are the details.
New GW Release: Altar of War
A Call to Arms is a Games Workshop digital release that many people, including myself have not paid much attention to, if even known about. As the final installment of Call to Arms is released, there were ads on the last page for other digital books that have not yet been released. One is a Dark Angelo Alter of War.
Relic and it the Fate
Last week we discovered that Sega was had won the bid for from the failing THQ to purchase Relic, (known for its Dawn of War series). Here we have an official announcement from Sega on what exactly is going on.
This is Our Hobby
Ever had the urge to get your thoughts and ideas out about our hobby and game and not wanted to go through the hassle of starting of a blog? Do you have a blog and want to occasionally submit articles to Faeit 212 to promote your own blog?
Models Discontinued
It was a couple weeks ago that the Chaos Dreadclaw was removed from the Forgeworld site, and finally there is an answer now on what is going on. It is discontinued, and so are three other models. These are no longer available, however some of them will be re-designed. Here is a response from Forgeworld.

Warriors of Chaos QnA part 2
There is a second Question and Answer session for the Warriors of Chaos army book, which is only a few days now from being released. The answers here are apparently from someone that already has the army book.
Models Done: Howler and Abomination
I started off with a couple of the biggest models I have for Dark Age. The Brood Howler and the Skarred Abomination. While I am currently working on more, I plan on getting these two factions (about 500pts) complete, before heading out to my next project.
Forgeworld IA Delays and More
There are a lot of skeptical people when it comes down to delay rumors, but the real world takes its toll, and projects take longer to wrap up than often planned for. Here are a couple rumored delays for upcoming Forgeworld releases.
QnA from the Warriors of Chaos Army Book
Cover Pic: Death From the Skies
It seems now we have a cover for the 40k flier supplement "Death from the Skies". It looks like this compendium is real, and is just around the corner with a rumored release date of February 16th. I have included below the rest of the current rumors surrounding this release.

Dark Age Game Updates: FAQs, Erratas, Factions and more
Death Korps of Krieg Update: February
By far one of my favorite lines of models from Forgeworld, the Death Korps of Krieg are in line for a pdf update coming very soon by the looks of it.
Warriors of Chaos Army Book Compilation
Warriors of Chaos are out only in a few short days, and with that I was digging to find a good round up of what is expected for the release. So here it is, a compilation for the upcoming army book, Warriors of Chaos.

The Faeit 212 BlogExchange: Blogs from Around the World
This week the inbox is overflowing with new entries for the Faeit 212 BlogExchange. I generally only spotlight 5 at a time so that each new addition gets its time in the spotlight. Here are the first 5 new additions this week.
A Dark Age Battle Report: Brood vs Skarred
Here is a quick battle report on a game from a couple days ago. The game itself took about 50 minutes, which includes any rules inquiries we had to make during the game.
Flyer Supplement: A Compendium with Updated Rules
More rumors that are saying there will be a flyer supplement coming in a few short weeks. February 16th is the current timeline for its release according to rumors, so seeing leaks and pre-orders in the next couple weeks looks likely.

Finecast is Temporary
This rumor bit declares that Finecast resin models from Games Workshop is meant to only be a temporary stopgap between the high cost of metal models, to a complete conversion over to plastic in the near future. Of course that near future might be 2-3 years out, but that is near enough for me.
February Releases: The Hobbit
Two plastic kits and four characters are amongst this months release for The Hobbit. Here is the GW video showing off these new models with close up 360 views. Here is a link to the pre-orders for a good look at what lies ahead.

40k Flyer Supplement to be Released Feb. 16th
It looks like the flyer rumors are coming in again full swing with a new bit claiming a flyer supplement to be released in a couple short weeks. "Death From the Skies" seems to be the title, but we will see, as more information on flyers hopefully are forthcoming in the next week or so.
Warriors of Chaos Video: A Closer Look at the Models
I do enjoy these videos from Games Workshop. I often find myself saying, "wow, I really like that one". We get to see a lot of early pics, and they do not often do the models justice, and I feel like these videos are really our first good look at them. Enjoy.
Your pre-orders can be found here.
Warhammer Advance Orders
via White Dwarf Daily
The Realm of Chaos is a land of nightmares where only the most powerful survive, be they mortal warriors snared by promises of power and glory, or the warped monsters that are born there.
February 2nd Releases List and Prices: Fantasy and Hobbit
Here is a list of what is coming out both for Warhammer Fantasy and The Hobbit. This list was posted up via iu_maddog at Ramblings of a mad gamer. Its always good to see the list. Warriors of Chaos players rejoice, it looks like a good release for February 2nd.

Where Titans Clash
New artwork is here from the Black Library by Neil Roberts. This is the cover of an upcoming audio book called Honour to the Dead, by Gav Thorpe.
Abomination
The Abomination model is almost done, so I figured it was time to do a full on review of the model, and show it off a little bit. It is by far the most complex and difficult model I have put together in awhile, and it is also one of the coolest (is that a word?).
Warhammer Fantasy 9th Edition Inbound?
There has been some conversations of late about whether or not a new edition of Warhammer Fantasy will arrive next year. We have been seeing new editions every other year for quite awhile, I personally have not received much on whether or not 8th edition is meant to last any longer than we have seen previous editions last. (unlike 40k).
So will we see a new edition next year? Check out the rumor below.
February White Dwarf. Lokken and Abaddon+ WoC
Also of note, Forgeworld's Lokken and Abaddon are here as well. They are Works in Progress (WIP) and will hopefully be released sometime soon. This pic comes from Trueminiwargamer.

Battle Bunkers: A Sad Farewell
While it is indeed a smarter thing to do from a business perspective, it is sad to see battle bunkers go away. Today I was told that its not just the LA and Chicago Battle Bunkers going away, its all Battle Bunkers in general. Here is the latest.
Ultramarines: Released to Blu-Ray and DVD March 5th
Ultramarine the movie, is back in full force, with a full on Blu-Ray and DVD release to hit the public. It did take them awhile, but I am finally glad to get it out to the general pubic. I personally would like to get it in Blu-Ray.
No More Rules in White Dwarf
So reading through this rumor, it seems that someone from the design team is upset that rules are being released in White Dwarf. I am not sure if this rumor refers to "White Dwarf Inserts", but if it does, that would good bye to any rules updates, or new models being introduced in the White Dwarf Magazine.

Games Workshop Doing Fine
The half year press statement for how Games Workshop is doing was released last week. They are doing good, with a steady increase in revenue, even during these hard economic times. I will let you do the reading on it, so here is the link.

Relic Bought Along With the 40k License
Sega has bought Relic along with the 40k licenses in an auction for 26 million dollars. Which is too bad, because that means my bid of $100 didnt win. (joking). Sega is a good company for games in my opinion, and I hope they create a game like Total War inside the 40k universe.
For those that do not know, THQ is no more.
Objective Set Up in 6th Edition
We have been playing 6th edition now for quite sometime, and over-all I love 6th edition and what it is. However, there is one area of the game, that effects us at almost every tabletop meeting, that I think is a little bit of a mistake in the rules. Objective Marker placement.
Cover Leak "Masque of Vyle"
A new book cover was accidentally revealed a few days back, and I had though I already had posted up on it. Seems I did'nt, so here I am trying to catch up with the latest news.
The cover for The Masque of Vyle by Andy Chambers, appeared only briefly before it was taken down. However it was snagged by they guys over at The Founding Fields, so we are able to get a good look at what it is they are working on.

Check This Model Out
This is a Skarred Abomination from the game Dark Age. While I will be going more into it later, I wanted to show this model off with a little preview image. It is by far the coolest model I have put together in quite awhile.
Pics of the Week: Tau
There are just too many Tau pics that do not do the race justice. They look a little too cartoonish, or rather weak. So this week for the Pics of the Week, I am throwing down my favorite Tau pics. Many of which I am sure you have already seen, but hopefully there are a couple new ones here.
Pics of the Week, is a weekly article that is scheduled for every Tuesday, but sometimes is delayed or forgotten. The pics come from the community at large and or my vast pic libraries that I like to collect.
Battle Bunkers Going Away: LA and Chicago
So its official that the LA battlebunker is being downsized into a small store with only a couple tables. Which is sad, because I know they had just hired a bunch of people within a year or so down there. Are Battle Bunkers going the way of the Dinosaur?
Faeit 212 Page Updates
Quick update on something minor, but that will help a ton, in both getting myself to update, and for readers to know when was the last update. That is on the pages for compilations, videos, release schedules, Dark Age, and more. I will be adding the dates into the page title, as you can see above.
I have been lacking in maintaining these pages up to date, and now doing this, it will be staring me in the face. So it will stay current much more.
I am always up open to new suggestions on the site, and if someone has more, feel free to email me, or you can even lay down them down in the comments.
Warriors of Chaos Rules Compilation
Here are two sets of rules taken from the upcoming White Dwarf for the Warriors of Chaos. There is quite a bit here, but somehow I feel that these sets are a little light on what we normally get gleaned from a White Dwarf release. Perhaps it just because its not 40k.

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: Blogs From Around World
This is probably the first time in memory that we did not have a full house of blogs to add to the exchange. So today we are going to take a look at two new blogs, that were just added. So join the community and head on over and check out what our world wide hobby has to offer.
So what is the Blog Exchange? It is basically an exchange of blogs on each others blog rolls. Its that simple. The search engine beneath the blog roll is also set so that readers may do a search on all the blogs on the exchange for whatever it is that they are interested in. So if your blog is being added, Mondays is when I spotlight each new blog to the exchange. The purpose of the Faeit 212 BlogExchange is to generate traffic and ideas to the wider community of Warhammer related blogs around the world.
Relic: New 40k Game by Fantasy Flight Games
Board Game gamers that love the 40k universe will like that Fantasy Flight Games is getting closer to releasing their new game Relic. It is a board game that expands upon the Talisman game, but set in the 40k universe.
Watch It All Burn
Warriors of Chaos are just around the corner, and Games Workshop has a video teaser out for the release.
A Letter from a Playtester: Odd Game Mechanics
This email came in this morning from a playtester, it introduces us into an odd game mechanic, a unit that can switch from a flyer with hull points to a monstrous creature that has wounds during the game. While the unit was discussed as a Heldrake, the game mechanic obviously did not get past early testing and make it into the Chaos Space Marine codex. Could something like this make it into the Chaos Daemons Codex?

Presence of Faeit: What's Next, Projects, Comments,
This week we finally had the answers to what is next regarding February, and very much were able to sort through the chaos and get down what looks like a solid timeline for the next few months. Not to mention there was a little bit of drama here, alongside myself getting a ton of work on models.
Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.
78 Models Done: One Day.
Yesterday I put myself to the task. I had a ton of models that I have been wanting to get put together, so I did it. 78 models put together in one day (not one sitting). Now ready to be painted.

Dark Age: Game Play
I thought it was time to go over some of the basics on the rules, and feature some of its gamesplay that makes the game outstanding.
Female Space Marines
And yes, you can order just the torsos.
The information and link is from eldargirl over on the Bols Lounge
Comments: Never Had so Much Email for Faeit 212
First off I want to say thanks for all the replies through email that I received on the site. Every one of them was positive, and there was a lot of good input. I have responded to every single one of them that I was sent.
I want to get right to business, I am going to allow comments here, however, it will be for the time being from registered users only. I know that effects some being able to comment from work etc, but its better than just shutting it down.
I was possibly a little bit hyped up from having to deal with a fight in a public place involving kids and quite a bit of blood. Probably not the best time afterwards to sit down and read through the comment sections.
So Comments are back up. Keep it civil please.

Dark Age: Getting Started
Babysitting Idiots
Its been a long time, and the frustration level of having to babysit a small percentage of readers in the comment sections has taken its toll, and I am done with it (its just too time consuming). I will of course continue what I do here, since I will not let stupid people alter what I do.
So the comment sections are closed. I will open them up for possibly my weekly editorial and possibly for a new weekly post on the weekends designed for readers to get their word in. Otherwise, its just too time consuming to babysit idiots living through the anonymity of the online world.
Instead the time spent reading through every comment would be better on articles and reading /responding to emails. If you have comments and are interested in in the dialogue, I am always available through email.

Games Workshop Ceo Posting
Apparently there was a problem, or someone did not like the way yesterday's CEO announcement was worded, so a second one was sent out. So here is the second version of the announcement regarding a changing of the watch in senior management.
Release Timelines for 40k
Most of us were caught surprised that Warriors of Chaos were released. We probably should not have been, but the rumor mill was behind the game on the release when it came to the release of the army book. On this end, I tend to receive a lot less info regarding fantasy than 40k.
Daemonic Whispers. Some Details on the Horizon
More Daemonic whispers are being heard, and while we know that they are right around the corner, they are keeping their secrets with the Lord of Change to add to our confusion.

Games Workshop CEO Steps Down
Mark Wells has been the CEO of Games Workshop for 5 years, and he has decided to step down. I will leave the rest of it to the news bit below. A huge thanks to the secret squirrel for drawing our attention to this latest bit of news.
Surprise!!!!! Warriors of Chaos for February. Pics
Yes, its blurry, but look what we have here today. Warriors of Chaos are here and are to be released February 2nd. Pre-orders to arrive shortly. The pic is apparently the army book cover.
Black Templar, and Authors of Upcoming Codices
We have heard little bits that the Black Templar were just getting started, and this rumor bit seems to confirm that. The big questions and answers are that the Templar are not getting rolled into the Space Marine codex, are not getting the White Dwarf treatment, and that Phil Kelly is writing it.
Event Schedule at Comic Collectibles
Comic Collectibles along McLoughlin Blvd is holding 40k events, and the next is as soon as this coming weekend. For those that do not know, Chris Slovak from Knightfall Games is at Comic Collectibles, and has Shaun from Ordo Fanasticus running the 40k tournaments. Below is the current schedule, along with the location of the tournaments.

Tyranids Swarm: Updated Artwork by Jon Sullivan
Today we have an updated piece of 40k art by Jon Sullivan. Last week saw little bit of this artwork for an upcoming Space Marine Battles book by the Black Library, called The Death of Integrity. Below is the entire piece. Here is a link to the previews we had last week, so that you can see some closer images of the artwork. http://natfka.blogspot.com/2013/01/preview-of-upcoming-artwork-tyranids.html
