Faet 212: Artist Showcase -Brovatar
Its Halloween, and here is a treat for the readers here. An installment of the Artist Showcase hits this week. Its been lacking just because of lack of people wanting to be showcased, and after a few weeks gets left in the dust. Lets hope we get more special treats like this one.
This hobby is about many things, but one of the few things it is not often called is art. By any terms of work, or artistic creativity, there are many Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy models found throughout the world that are pure artwork at its finest. From painting, sculpting, and to customization, this hobby produces some of the best, and this is their showcase.
Chaos Daemons FAQ: English
With all the talk about the faq in German, there is not one in English. Its short, and I will include a link here as well as posting it.

New Chaos Daemons FAQ
There is a new faq up, the only problem, is it appears only the German one has been updated thus far. I have not had much time to dig into these much further, so check out the link below, which is a translation into English.

Something to Watch Out For
Somehow this got lost in my inbox, so I wanted to make sure it gets its post. I want to say first off, that I have no first hand knowledge of how Maelstrom Games is doing, but I also do not want fellow hobbyist to get the short end of the buck. On that end, I would be careful of ordering through companies that are close or seem to be going under.

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: Blogs from Around the World
There are quite a few new blogs on our weekly post this week for the Faeit 212 BlogExchange. There is a lot to read and check on this week's exchange, so lets waste no time on getting to it.
So what is the Blog Exchange? It is basically an exchange of blogs on each others blog rolls. Its that simple. The search engine beneath the blog roll is also set so that readers may do a search on all the blogs on the exchange for whatever it is that they are interested in. So if your blog is being added, Mondays is when I spotlight each new blog to the exchange. The purpose of the Faeit 212 BlogExchange is to generate traffic and ideas to the wider community of Warhammer related blogs around the world.
Armybuilder Updated to 1.09: Link Here
Armybuilder has been rather hard for people to update these last few months, so I have decided that it would help the community to have access to them. Not to mention that Lone Wolf Development just updated it to 1.09 now.
Deathwing and Ravenwing Rumors
From these rumors, both Deathwing and Ravenwing are going to be getting 4 units each. Of course these are playtest rules, and I do not have any information on how far along the design process these this playtest set is.

Presence of Faeit: A Great Sadness
Over the last week we have a few rumors to keep me busy, but for the most part this end of year silence is deafening to me. Even the in-box is slow regarding rumors and readers findings of new information all over the world, and I cannot wait for a little pick-me-up in the rumor mill.
Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.
The Strength of Armour in 6th: Blood Angels
Going a step further in this series of articles, I wanted to post up a couple of quick lists that are created in the way that I go about designing a mech heavy army.

It's Official: From the Wastes They Come
Now up for pre-order, the Warriors of Chaos are getting updates. I do think BW's videos are much better than they were a year ago. These are enjoyable and its very cool to see these models presented in this fashion.
via White Dwarf Daily
From the Realm of Chaos comes the deadliest threat known to civilization Clad in ancient armour and splattered with the blood of their foes, the Warriors of Chaos descend upon the Old World to wreak death and destruction
New Forgeworld Releases
More Horus Heresy is up for pre-order this week, and model wise, they are some of the sexist models to date. I just love the Scimitar Jetbike, and I wish it was on my list of things to get right now. Here are the prices and a link to get your orders in, and yes, Im jealous.

The Strength of Armour in 6th: Part 2
6th edition started, and immediately it was clear that armour had taken a beating with the new rule set. Immediately there were list after list virtually no armour. I was right there with you, and yes, I loudly proclaimed to just about everybody that I ran into that the mech heavy list was DOA.
Literally dozens of games later, no idea how many, I have done a 180 on the mech heavy list, can say with a lot of truth, that my heavy mech lists are wrecking many an opponent, and that I feel the community has missed out on the opportunity that mech in 6th edition provides.
The Strength of Armour in 6th Edition: Transports
Vehicles in 6th edition have changed the way we play 40k. My first response to 6th edition increased the number of infantry units on my battlefields. I saw a huge shift in what I thought were the strongest lists, and that in general included less and less armour. However, as time has gone on, I have taken a complete 180 in my lists, and more and more vehicles are making it into my lists.
So what do I think of mechanized lists in 6th edition?
More Pics from November White Dwarf: in English
Here are the latest pics to hit the internet waves for the November White Dwarf which is released tomorrow. There is quite a bit in it for the Warriors of Chaos, but also some paint kits and of course the latest piece of terrain.

Greater Daemons and Furies!!!!
Tonight we have a some rumors hitting regarding Greater Daemons and Furies. Apparently we are getting an update, which I expect (contrary to popular rumor mongers) that it will be a White Dwarf insert update. The kind that we are seeing more of lately.
November Releases Expanded, Included are Cultists and Wall of Martyrs
Here is an updated list of what is coming out, including some paints, the megaforces, and more. Yes cultists and the Wall of Martyrs is included in this set. I am hoping that these are fortifications that can be used in your army lists, so rules is the only thing we are short on now.
New Fortifications Seen in the New White Dwarf
It seems we have some new fortifications on the horizon. While we have not seen any rules yet for them, they look very cool, and is definitely on my to get list if and when we see these. They are not listed on the Nov. 3rd releases. These pics are from the November White Dwarf though, and I think they are going to fit in wonderfully. Just take a closer look at those locations for heavy weapon teams.

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: Blogs From Around the World
There are some excellent blogs here this week, and for many of you that are always looking to read the latest thoughts and goings on in our hobby, I suggest taking a look at this weekly opportunity.
Games Workshop Releases Cultists?
It appears there are cultist in the upcoming releases, although its odd, since I have seen the pre-order forms and Cultists are not on it. So while its very widely being reported that cultists are being sold in boxes of 5 with three autoguns and two auto pistol/close combat weapon sets, I am holding off on declaring this until I get a little bit more information.
Release Schedule Rumors: News Sometimes Isn't Good:
This latest schedule set is rather depressing, in fact its rather a sad day to hear any bit that the Dark Angels codex could literally be pushed 5 months out. Rather than dwell on the negative lets see what Stickmonkey is laying out for what is coming out over the next 6-8 months.
Bundles for the Year: Space Marines, Necrons, Vampire Counts, and Empire
It seems the rumors about army bundles was true, and here are what is being released. I do not have the US dollars, so if anyone has that information I would love to get them.

I'm Really Not Sure What To Think About This.
Ok, really. I am going to be honest about this, "it doesn't really bug me". Apparently a GW store manager has copied and pasted a tactics article I wrote and is taking credit for it. I am not hurt by the article, and in reality am a little bit flattered that someone liked the article enough to use it on their site.
November White Dwarf Pics Are Here!!!
Here are the latest leaks from November's White Dwarf. Warriors of Chaos are here, and we have some stat lines and rules to go with them. It definitely looks like a White Dwarf insert just like we saw for Daemons of Chaos a few months back.
Space Marine Tactical Squad Rumors
Joining the lists of what to expect for Warhammer 40k, we have the latest on Space Marine Tactical Squads. More specifically, this rumor bit gets down to what we will see in the box when it is released.
October 27th Releases Revealed!!!!!
Here is what is coming for October for Halloween, or more precisely October 27th. Warriors of Chaos are about to be released, and it looks like a decent release. These are to be ready for pre-order Oct. 27th with a November 3rd release date.
Monday, October 22, 2012
Visions of Heresy: New Cover and Re-release?
Talking about a beautiful cover. Apparently the Visions of Heresy is going to be re-released and expanded upon. Otherwise not much information as of yet for what this is besides a Black Library artbook.
November Snow: GW Video Teaser
It looks like the first teaser is out from Games Workshop...... Obviously its Warriors of Chaos for October 27th. This is right on time for leaks of the next White Dwarf to start showing up this week.
The Cinematics of the 40k Table
I have been working on my video skills, not only in editing, but in filming as well. I have noticed that editing is for the most part, trying to make up what my filming skills lack. Both skills are equally important.

Presence of Faeit: Running into Hobbyists, Chaos Space Marines,
Almost all of my hobby time of late has been eaten up with preparing to move to a new house. That doesnt mean my obsession (40k) get ignored, it just means less time for it, and some of it is getting packed up for that final move day.
Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

The Latest on Bundles.........
The Latest on Bundles.........
It was highly thought that after the rumors of bundles came out that it was discovered to be a bundle from the Black Library. Well, I was sent some information that has not yet seen the light of day....
New FAQ's for Warhammer Fantasy
Just in, Warhammer Fantasy players rejoice, there are new FAQs up for Warhammer Fantasy. It looks like there are quite a few changes, and here are a few of them.
The Greatest Hunters in the Game
As an opponent of this beast, if you are not a little scared of what this thing will do to your army, you have not faced it properly. The Heldrake is the most dangerous hunter on the tabletop, and it can and will properly seek and destroy entire units on the tabletop when it strikes.
While some people really like the anti-air capabilities of the heldrake, that is not where it is the most efficient. So scrap the Hades Autocannon on the front of this thing, fire up your baleflamer, its time to talk about the most feared model in the game.

Chaos Space Marine FAQs Are Live!!!!!!!!
The Chaos Space Marine FAQ's are live!!!! The very very first errata is the following regarding Plague Zombies......... OK, there are no faqs, just erratas for the codex.
Dark Angel Release Rumor
I know we are for the most part still expecting a November/ December release for Dark Angels, but we have little bits of intel coming in from various parts of the world. Something is definitely going on very soon. Here is another bit from the Faeit 212 inbox today.
Deep Dark Secrets: November Releases
We have more bits of information saying that something is going to be happening early in the month of November, but exactly what it is still eludes us. We are really floundering here, as apparently whatever it is coming out is being kept a deep dark secret.
Author of the Dark Angel Codex Revealed
I know this has been rumored in the past, and here it is again from a different source, which is very defining when it comes to sorting out rumors. Here is the next little bit.
New Bundles to be Released Later Today?
Its not often we finally hear of something the actual day before or day of a release, but here it is. I have a few small bits of information and rumors for today, so check back, and I will get to them all.

Hints of for November
Readers from around the world watch out for the slightest hints of anything pointing towards the next release. This morning I received one of this little hints. While things like this do not really mean anything, I like to show these when they are brought to my attention, because you never know. That could be our next release date.
Chaos Space Marines FAQ's Gone
The FAQ's for Chaos Space Marines are obsolete, and were up on the GW site for what seemed like weeks after the new codex release. Finally in the last few days they were removed, and it is highly expected throughout the community that it means we will be seeing a new FAQ soon. Friday perhaps?

Chaos Marines vs Grey Knights
First off, this was a very close game, and was the second game working with the new Chaos Space Marines. The first game is not really worth discussing too much, as it CSM's were very much wiped out. So understand first off, that the games here are very much putting the CSM codex up against a very hard list. The purpose of course is to kill the learning curve, and get right down to the CSM codex.
News Flash:Caught in the Act of Cheating
This was brought to my attention yesterday, and I want to run with it so that people are aware of what to watch for when it comes to tournaments. This is in the form of weighted dice, and it really happened, and in fact, it just happened at Beaky Con in Tampa, Florida. Just for the record Necron flyers took the thing.

Pics of the Week: The Return of Deathguard
After some time going through the Chaos Space Marine codex, I keep going back to Death Guard as an army list that looks very enjoyable. So with that in mind here is a repost (with a few new pics added in) of Death Guard.
Pics of the Week happen every Tuesday where I share from my Warhammer pic library. I collect these all the time from all over, and sharing them is just fun.
RAW vs RAI
Rules as Written or Rules as Intended. This is an argument we hear a lot. Do we follow what is written in the rules to the letter of the words on the page? or do we allow for what was intended by the rule?

Faeit 212 BlogExchange: Blogs from Around the World
Starting to feel better, and getting back to the blog with some steam behind me. Here is the BlogExchange entries for the week, and I apologize if it has taken me awhile to get back to this. Sit back and enjoy some blog reading from some fabulous authors you may not have seen before.
Psyker App Updated with Chaos Marine Powers
I have not yet confirmed this, but was searching everywhere for rumors today, and saw this. Games Workshop has apparently updated the Psyker App with no additional costs associated with it.
It has been confirmed that there are costs associated with the new chaos powers app.
Plague Zombies: A definitive Answer? Or just Fun?
Big question for the Chaos Space Marine codex: Can Plague Zombies come in groups bigger than 10? I have my opinion on it, and that is no, simply because unit sizes are listed under options in the unit entry. I know there are a lot of arguments either way, but now GW has listed Plague Zombies as a unit for an event, and while this does not in any way endorse a limit of 10, I think it provides a little more insight to this question.
Take a Look!!!

Presence of Faeit: Chaos Marine Battle Reports, Out Sick
Two big battles down for Chaos Space Marines, and soon a report to see just how they are competing.
Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

Rumor Snippet: Tau Chariot "Type"
A couple weeks ago we had a rumor set that many different units that we may see in a future Tau codex. One in particular was a Beastly Transport. This morning we have a little bit more info on this transport.
Friday, October 12, 2012
New Legiones Astartes Armour and Accessories
Forgeworld today is setting up for pre-order a ton of Legiones Astartes models, weapons and accessories for the Horus Heresy series. There are shoulderpads for the legions despicted in the Betrayal, new bolters and decal sheets.
Space Marines: New Models and Units!!!
Here is something completely new for Space Marines, but do not expect a codex any time soon. In this is a new Techmarine model, new Tactical Squad, flyers and more.....

Chaos Helbrute Model Release and other Rumors
A Helbrute release is apparently coming soon, however do not expect it until after the new year. From what we were told in the past it has a less dynamic pose, but will come with all the options. The rest is that there are more models on their way, including Thousand Sons.
