Its been one of those long weekends where games late into the night end just before the break of day.  So if it seems I have been gone for a day, well its true.

Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

WoC in November? What is Going On?

Earlier rumors had placed Warriors of Chaos as a November army book release alongside of course a couple waves of models. Now it is apparent that while the year is coming quickly to a close, the time available for releases is getting thin. So the rumors are having it that there will be no Warriors of Chaos army book in November.

October 6th Releases

Below is the October 6th releases that are just around the corner. These are what is on the order form, and it very much is what we expect. The only odd thing is that some of the models seem to have only a 3 month lifespan.

Primarch: Mortarion the Reaper

Mortarion (also known as the Death Lord) was one of the original twenty Primarchs. He was given command of the Death Guard Legion on the arrival of the Emperor to his world but he turned to the forces of Chaos during the Horus Heresy. (via lexicanum)

So this morning we have some information regarding the Primarch of the Deathguard, as I am sure he is to be one of the favorites.

New Dark Angel Rumors: Release Date... Novemeber!!!!

The Chaos Space Marine codex is very much here. In case you were concerned that this was it for the rest of 2012....... Worry no longer. More rumors are now saying that indeed, the Dark Angel codex will be here soon.

First Look: October White Dwarf Video

I finally got my chance to take a closer look at the new White Dwarf, and it definitely is a new magazine. I am not a big reader of magazines, so I cannot compare quality of the issue, but there is a remarkable difference between this magazine and the one that was released last month.

Also of note, this should be my last video without HD. Trying to get a new camera today.

A Very Close Look at the New CSM Models: Video

This is an excellent video. I did not like the Maulerfiend as much until I saw it in this video. Definitely take a look and watch this video, as it gives the best look yo can get at the new releases for the Chaos Space Marines. Wow, a lot of details that are just amazing. I am liking these models more than ever now.

The Chaos Marine Codex is Official: and a Limited Edition

Now we have the official announcement on the Games Workshop sites that the Chaos Space Marine codex is here!!!!!. This is exciting. 104 page hard back full color codex, including a large foldout reference page.

I have been slipping behind on the Horus Heresy releases, with all the Chaos Space Marine bits. The Horus Heresy will be a great series of models and books to collect, for years to come. I really like these jetbikes and look forward to seeing more of these models on Games Day UK this weekend when we should be just flooded with pics.

CSM Psychic Powers, Special Rules, Marks and Icons.

Army special rules, marks, icons and more are here from the White Dwarf. Once again apparently there are lots of people with this White Dwarf, and apparently I get left out of the fun. However there are lots of people posting these things online in photo albums, forums, and other sites, so we get to share in the fun for a short bit until we get our copies on Saturday.

We have roughly been able to see what is going to be released on Oct 6th. This is going to be a huge and exciting release. I look forward to seeing these huge monstrosities roaring across the tabletop, and wrecking me.

It seems there for traitor legions and their Primarchs there will be two versions released, both from when they were loyal, and one when they became traitors. More details below.

Games Workshop and Other Digital Platforms

When it comes to digital platforms, there are many people that are not on the Iphone or Ipad. Having only one operating system for Games Workshop products has been a sore spot for many people, obviously for  the ones not on those products.

In a recent discussion I was having with an anonymous source, the topic did come up. Here is a quick rundown of what was said.

Chaos Marines: Forgefiends, and Land Raiders

Back a while back, we had a Chaos Space Marine QnA session, and it was an amazing event. There was a new land raider variant in it, one that was able to ram into fortifications... which sounded pretty cool. I am here to tell you it was dropped from the codex.

Now to move to a little more positive news,  we have a little more information on what the Forgefiend is......

Chaos Space Marine Codex Date Confirmed

We have the first confirmation that the Chaos Marine codex is indeed going to go live for pre-orders on September 22nd. The source is from a very reliable source I have been staying in contact with, and the date is confirmed. I am sure we are bound to get details, as more unfolds.......

Helldrake?!!!

Is this the name of our Dragon Flyer? This is the first time I have heard a name for it, and it sounds appropriate. This little rumor snippet also discusses briefly that the forgefiend and the Helldrake boxes may come with alternate builds.

Chaos Space Marines: Schedule Discussion

I have been getting a lots of emails regarding the release of the Chaos Space Marine codex. I want to be clear for the readers here. I am not a source of anything, rumors are sent to me, or found elsewhere, and I simply report them. This means that in general, and in this case, I do not know anything beyond what everyone here has read on the site.

This week was a busy one for myself, and most of it was non-40k related. I was stuck in a 3 day criminal trial right up until the end of the week. Paperwork trying to purchase a new house, was coming through and there were a ton of legal documents that I had to read through. (of course I found errors and am having to work through these.)  However, there were a few things that happened this week.

White Dwarf: What is Happening on the 22nd!!!!

White Dwarf is getting a new launch on September 22nd. Its is going to be a big release, and some rumors have it that the next  release pre-orders will start that day. I am looking forward to seeing the improvements on the new White Dwarf, and think these are a move in the right direction.

White Scars Featured

The White Scars get their first pre-heresy Black Library book, and while I am a day or so behind on showing this video, I figured that there just might be a couple Khan fans that may have not  yet seen it.

the Black Library tell us more about their latest special edition novella Brotherhood of the Storm, which features the White Scars Legion for the very first time in the Horus Heresy series. Like all Black Library special edition books, this one comes complete with lavish cover art, a protective dust jacket, some beautiful full-colour artwork including a profile shot of a 'Bullock' pattern jetbike (if you remember those then you're truly showing your age) and, of course, an action-packed story in which the savage White Scars take on the even more savage Orks. This novella will only be available for one week between 21st and 28th September.

Weekend Releases

There are a ton of releases this weekend, as something like 50+ models are being released as citadel finecast. This includes things like plasma guns, melta guns, veteran sternguard weapon packs, and so much more. Personally I love these upgrade packs, because I want more things to convert with and resin is a much better material to convert with than metal.

Games Workshop Has Phone Apps

Now this is a logical step that I just did not see coming. Games Workshop now has apps for the iphone and ipod. I know many of you are like "what?" yes, that means that we will be able to access digital products through our phone. So Yes the future is here.......
