Warhammer 40k in the News! (and its not good)
Warhammer 40k suddenly appears on the front page of a popular newspaper in Greece, with the creator of the blog, 122nd Cadia face down checking his line of sight.
This article calls us Nazi's, stupid, racists, and more things than I am going to repeat. The Antipope was able to translate the article to the best of his ability into English for us upon request, so it is posted for your reading below. My understanding that his normal job includes translating English to Greek, so even if the article loses some of its sarcasm, as he claims, the point of it is still there.

Presence of Faeit: Chaos Legions, Demuirg, Grey Knight Refinement
For myself it was a week filled with trying to buy a house, the holiday itself, and a little refinement work on my Purifier list. Which of course means more model work needs to be done, but that is OK.
Presence of Faeit is my weekly editorial. I generally report during the week what is going on, and today is my day to comment on what exactly it is that I am thinking of.

Curs'd Ettin
New from Warhammer Forge today is the Curs'd Ettin. Here is the latest with a link to place your order or view more pics.
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/CURSD-ETTIN.html
via Warhammer Forge
Renowned in dread Norscan sagas, the twin-headed, hulking Ettins are terrors of the high places. They dwell in lonely caverns and shattered citadels, splattered with the blood of their victims and carrying their stigma as a curse under whose torment they are bound to eternally suffer, despising all else that walks or crawls in the world.
While of a similar stature to the lumbering giants of the Old World, a Curs’d Ettin can be easily identified by its singular deformities and cruel intellect; born so it is said of an ancient treachery against the Dark Gods themselves, for whom they reserve their most bitter hatred.
The Curs’d Ettin, designed by Edgar Skomorowski, is a full resin monster packed with amazing detail, from its grotesquely twisted form to the jagged chunk of warpstone clutched in one hand as a primitive weapon. The Curs’d Ettin is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing 28th November, and experimental rules for this rapacious creature are available to download now, taken from the forthcoming Warhammer Forge Monstrous Arcana expansion book.

Chaos Legions: A Great Rumor Compilation
I have an affinity to the Night Lords, since I used to have them (a good friend of mine now has all my old models), but I will be playing whatever army suits my playstyle when they arrive. I may even jump the bandwagon a little and get some models early for this one.

6th Edition FOC Rumors and Starter Set Armies from Phil Kelly?
The primary thing in this rumor that is new, is the FOC flexibility. Definetly something I like. If this could be done once, it would add a ton of flexibility to our army lists. I love the idea as it changes what I would be able to field on the table top and if it was confirmed, I would already be buying new models for it.
Mangler Squig Pics!
Here is the long awaited first peak at the Mangler Squig. Once again these leaks are coming out of a White Dwarf someone has gotten ahold of. These pics were discovered by eldargal.

Forgeworld Switching to Finecast Resin? Forgeworld Response
So this customer received a Krieg Lascannon team in finecast resin, and on Facebook Forgeworld responded that they trialed finecast resin on some small batches. So the question remains, is the Forgeworld writer on facebook just covering up a trial of what may be a change in resins in the near future?

Sanquinius and Daemon Clash: Black Library Artwork
Hopefully I am locked into a hard game at the time this is posted. My perferred circle of very good players have all caught the plague this week, so I am off to attempt a pick up game on 40k night at a local shop.
via the Black Library
This is Neil Roberts’s latest Horus Heresy cover, for Fear to Tread, which will see James Swallow recounting the events of the Battle of Signus Prime, in which the Blood Angels face a horde of monstrous daemons, and their primarch, Sanguinius, meets his destiny, as pictured here.

Natfka Takes on Necrons: Review Time
More Insights into Chaos Legions
Chaos Legions are creeping closer now that the Necron codex is out. While it may or may not be next, I am beyond excited for this codex. It seems that even back as far as 3rd edition when everything was chapter approved out of White Dwarf magazines, we all wished for a codex that was more specific for each of the fallen chapters we liked.
Night Lords was by far my favorite back then, and this rumor mentions a stange assassin type for them.

Lord Inquisitor 2 Minute MovieTrailer is Here!
The animation on this is spectacular. As the trailer builds up, so does the artwork, with glimpses of combat scenes, and what looks like a dying battle barge crashing down upon a planet. Amazing dramatic ideas and footage.. Please after watching this, go to their site and become a follower to support this not- for-profit project.

New Dark Angels Artwork from the Black Library
New artwork from the Black Library is always something I am excited about. It just brings to life the visuals of our hobby. This latest is a piece featuring one of my oldschool favorites, Dark Angels.
via the Black Library
This image comes from the talented hands of Cheoljoo Lee, the artist who produced the awesome Salamanders covers and works on the Warhammer Heroes series. As we’ve come to expect from Cheoljoo, this new artwork is a stunning rendition of a Space Marine that really captures the essence of the Chapter.
The story focuses on an Imperial Guard veteran, Reagan Antigone, who is being honoured for his actions in a long-ago battle against the forces of Chaos.
But when his old comrade, a Dark Angels Space Marine, appears for the celebration, Antigone’s account of the victory is called into question. As is usual with the enigmatic Dark Angels, not all is as it seems, and shadowy figures from the past come back to haunt the veteran Guardsman.
Malediction will be released in August next year
Rules of Our Game: Smoke Launchers During Scout Moves, Beastmasters and Pain Tokens
Rules of Our Game is a weekly post regarding rules problems. I run across tons of rules questions each week, and I think almost every person in our hobby should keep an eye out for things like these. It helps us when we finally come across such problems or weak spots in the rules of the game. Comments and "Your Wrong!" are very appreciated with this series, as navigating the rules of our game can be quite treacherous.

Proof Reading Error or Insight into 6th Ed. (inside Necron Codex)
A lot of us have been reading the new Necron codex for any signs of 6th edition material and insight. Here is one of these little bits of insight, or perhaps it comes down to a glaring error in the proof reading department.

How to: Imperial Guard Heavy Support on a budget
I recieved an email last night, and even though I answered it, (as I always try to answer emails) it needs pictures. So I thought that deep in the middle of Necron mania I would show something IG style.
This is not necessarily completely on a budget, after all you will still need to purchase 9 basilisks. However, with this you will not need to purchase any more than that, and still get a flexible and viable option for your Imperial Guard Heavy support options.

The Words of Faeit: Crossing the Void (Dark Eldar)
Online colleges have design classes for those who would love to design games like this.
I did not get this out on Friday, so it is a day late, but better late than never.
The Words of Faeit is a weekly post, dedicated to my thoughts on the strategy and tactical side of the game. They are not to be written in stone as "No plan of operations extends with certainty beyond the first encounter with the enemy's main strength" (or "no plan survives contact with the enemy"). Quoted from Helmuth von Moltke.
