Hive of the Dead

Hive of the Dead is a gamebook released by the Black Library that is available now. It is a choose your own adventure type of book, that only requires a pencil and some dice in order to play through. Even though something like this has little interest in my books, if my kids were a little older, this might be something they would enjoy tremendously. This book is a print on demand, and is only available through the website.

Hive of the Dead is the first ever Warhammer 40,000 gamebook. Using rules reminiscent of those in the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game, albeit without models and terrain, you can venture through a hive-world infested with flesh eating zombies, ghouls and worse. With only this book, a six sided dice and a pencil, you can battle the zombie hordes from the comfort of your armchair.
