OK, first I thought it a joke. In fact it might still be. However, it was time to chime in and drop the line on the latest talk of the Demiurg (Squats or Space Dwarves).

What we have here are rumors declaring that Squats (Demiurg) will be making an appearance with the Tau. Now at first I was dismissive. I even laughed a bit. However, the more I read, the more plausable the idea really became. Then someone mentioned that the Tau do have dealings with the Demiurg, and that their ships are allies in Battlefleet Gothic.

What I have here is a couple things. The most relative posts on the subject as of when I was typing this out, of which are several people that have dropped us very accurate rumors in the past. Lastly I posted a couple paragraphs from the Battlefleet Gothic pdf on the GW website that talks about the Demiurg.

Have fun, and don't forget the salt.

Well after posting some GK rumors i have returned with some more interesting tid bitz.

Squats will be returning with the TAU!

depending on printing problems it is possible they will be slated for November 2011 moving the Necrons back

Squats will be a troop choice and have t4 s5(with battle axe) 5+ 5+FNP(intoxicating save) and SAP but will be allowed to charge 6" instead of rolling

There is a squat HQ but no info yet.

Kroot are still in as well as the firewarriors

Character unlocks crisis suits as troops and they have gotten much better.

update: demiurg is what i ment but im sure you all know that by now.
hopefully more to come in the upcoming months. Enjoy

Well I was about to groan at "yet another squat" rumour but this does very scarily reinforce a rumour I have heard regarding Tau too, so I won't laugh this one off just yet.

I have been hearing since last year that Tau would get a big release in Q4 2011.

They will be getting plastic vespid, pathfinders and new battle suits and crisis suits (most likely recut sprue with all weapon options in plastic).

And I have heard that they were getting a new race as a unit type.

I never in a million years thought it would be squat/demiurg but this would be awesome if it's true.

The only thing that gives me pause is that I was told Tau would be getting new minis, but not necessarily a new Codex, so could the rules for these be in White Dwarf?

You have to add that Demiurg and Tau have been known to at least trade with each other, if I remember it correctly. The Tau Ion Cannon is of Demiurg design, I think.

Necron's won't be done in time, that is why they are putting another codex in it's slot, the necron's aren't "getting pushed back because of the tau," they will be done when they are done.

Also, I was told about the Demierg rumor as well.

Taken from the Tau Battlefleet Gothic pdf's
Once a supremely rare sight, the gigantic stately commerce vessels of the Demiurg have been seen with increasing regularity in the Ultima Segmentum over recent centuries. Although known in legend among many indigenous races through the region, Demiurg vessels avoid Imperium-claimed space scrupulously unless specifically invited in. Unfortunately, less than scrupulous planetary governors have been known to employ Demiurg forces to bolster their own positions, inviting Inquisitorial censure for their truck with aliens.

Fleet strategists have postulated a link between the ships and the expansion of the Tau Empire on the Eastern Fringe, citing three confirmed sightings of Tau/Demiurg or Kroot/Demiurg fleets in the region of the Damocles Gulf. Others have suggested that the nomadic movement of the mysterious Demiurg demonstrates only an opportunistic desire to capitalise on the disruption caused by the Tyranid hivefleets.
